In about 15-20 minutes the center can be reached via a footpath on the picturesque banks. The walk can be achieved if you are on the main road running down to the sea after about 100 m. Shops are plentiful. Recommended are the fruit and vegetable stalls on the main street.The location of Starigrad is an excellent starting point for various excursions. National Park 'Krka' is about 90 km away (toward Sibenik and Split) and also the National Park 'Plitvice Lakes' (about 120 km) is very accessible and worth seeing of Starigrad. The National Park 'Kornati' can be visited by boat from Zadar (45 km). In Zadar itself has the possibility archaeological sites to visit, shop and eat.On the jetty of the old city - Peninsula you can watch the 'Greeting to the Sun' (planetary system). From the 'sea organ' can man jump into the sea. The 'Canyon of Zrmanja' can be explored by kayak (between 2 and 3 hours drive with guide).
