Salty Knights is just a short 2 1/2 block walk to the center of the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and public entrance to the beach.This spacious and comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath front unit features all the comforts of home.Salty Knights is the front unit of a duplex. The back unit is called Sandy Knights and mirrors the front unit. It is also available for rent should you have the need to accommodate up to 12 people in one building. Salty Knights features a large deck with a table for outdoor dining, an outdoor seating area and a propane grill. Salty Knights has designated parking on the left hand side of the carport. It can easily fit 3 cars. Each unit has a private entrance with keyless entry codes. There is an outdoor open shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach under the carport which is shared by both units.Salty Knights has an open floor plan in the main living area. Lots of light pours in with the large sliding glass doors. However, the curtains can be drawn when settling in. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). 1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed! The living room boasts a large sliding door where you can watch the pelicans roost and waves crash without moving an inch. A TV and WIFI connection will ensure you stay briefly connected with the outside world before heading back to hunt for the perfect shell.Guest accessThe POOL: The SHARED onsite pool and communal beach access are available for all guests to use.The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with the respective decks, patios, and balcony, and private beach access. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The home itself is a short drive from down town Carolina Beach with its shops, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as charming down town Kure Beach. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday night, Movies at the lake each Sunday night, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning.Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all! After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such. •ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.• SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience.•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms).
