"This is a lovely place, we stayed in the ‘cottage’ which was more like an annexe building and it had two rooms of which we occupied one. The room was good, we enjoyed breakfast in the dining room and the breakfast menu had a lot of choice too which was great. There were options for a full English style breakfast, but also options for cereals and fruits etc. We decided to try dinner at the hotel one evening and we were extremely happy with our choice. The food was excellent quality and very enjoyable. The hotel is a short walk into the centre, very close to the castle which is worth a visit and you can see the castle from the road you walk on from the hotel to the city."

‘Huggins’ is a 18th Century Miners Cottage with lovely views within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Adjacent to our own cottage it is completely private with own drive, parking, and garden with breathtaking views towards the Malvern Hills.Just through the front door, there is a small area for boots and coats, and to the right is a breakfast room. The door to the left takes you through into the snug. Complete with low beams, comfy chairs, a TV and log burning stove for those cooler evenings. The kitchen is small and with more low beams but equipped with everything you require for a self-catering breakaway. The stairs lead directly up onto a small landing. To the right is a large bathroom and to the left the bedroom with double opening windows for an uninterpreted view. The cottage is sympathetically decorated in neutral colours and with a style to complement the area. We do have hares who live in the woods to the right and can sometimes be seen in the field to the front as well as rabbits, owl, woodpeckers, and deer (fallow, roe and muntjac). You may be lucky enough to see badgers and polecats in the garden at night.Outside, there is a raised seating area ensuring you can make the best of the views. There is also a shed which you can use for bikes if you wish (please ask for the key). This beautiful cottage is real rural living, with the amenities of the gorgeous old town of Ludlow 4 miles away with it’s historic castle with links to the Plantagenets and Tudors, The Food Festival (on twice a year) is Britain’s oldest, fabulous independent shops and a regular local market. This stunning property is a self contained wing of a Georgian Town House once owned by the Earls of Shrewsbury. It has been recently renovated and the house retains many of its original features. Equipped with a mix of antique and modern furniture the house has charm and comfort. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, a large sitting room with piano, an oak panelled dining room with circular table, and a fully-equipped kitchen with slim dishwasher. On the first floor there are two formal and spacious bedrooms, one king and one twin, which share a bathroom (with shower). On the second floor, only accessed via a steep and narrow staircase (not suitable for the elderly), there is a ‘walk through’ twin room, and another double bedroom with an ensuite with a free standing bath. The house is perfect for 6 guests, and although there are beds for 8 guests, it is a bit ‘tight’. The 4th bedroom (a twin) simply has a curtain between it and the stairs, so it is not completely private. See the photos! There are beautiful high ceilings and panelled rooms throughout, and you will be warm and cosy, with the use of two gas fires in addition to full central heating. Sumptuous bed linen and towels are provided in all rooms. We have a good friend who is a cook, who is happy to cater for guests, either during the evening, or by leaving a prepared meal ready for you. Just heaven, if you are arriving late, or if you cannot get booked into one of Ludlow's fabulous restaurants. Details on request. You will have exclusive use of the whole house which consists of hall, kitchen, dining room, sitting room and 2 bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor. The 2nd floor has 2 additional bedrooms and a bathroom. There is an entrance hallway shared with one other property belonging to us, and it is a great place for wellies, coats, bikes etc.To gain access to the double ensuite bedroom on the second floor you must go up the stairs THROUGH THE TWIN ROOM which can be curtained off - please see the photographsAbout pets:Pets allowed: limit 1 total. One well behaved dog..About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 30.About events:No events allowed.
Recently renovated, this is a spacious three bedroom house in the centre of Ludlow. Comprising of 2 double bedrooms, 1 with ensuite, and a twin room with a family bathroom, plus a useful cloakroom on the ground floor, 2 sitting rooms, (one with a double sofa bed) and the other with a fabulous gas stove making a super warm 'snug'. Large kitchen/dining room and a fully equipped utility room too. There is also a shared porch ideal for storing bikes or a pram. The spaceWell behaved pets are very welcome (please let us know if you are bringing one as there is a small additional charge). Unfortunately there is no outside space for them at the house. However, there are lots of green spaces; the river and the Castle are within 2 mins walk.About pets:Pets allowed. One well behaved pet is allowed..About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
