The main level features a living room, Vaulted ceilings, Bear decor throughout the cozy cabin, flat screen TV in the living room, brand new queen size sleeper sofa, recliner, child’s rocking chair, and toys/ books for children. The bedroom features a brand new plush pillow top queen size mattress , tv, nightstand, bear lamp, and chest of drawers in the closet. The closet also has extra blankets, pillows for the sleeper sofa, a large comforter for the sleeper sofa, and extra sheets. There is also hangers in the closet. You will also find an iron and iron board if needed.There is also fully equipped kitchen and dining table, full bathroom/shower/ tub, and washer/dryer. We have a new Keruig that takes pods and will take ground coffee. We provide coffee pods and seasonal pods in the drawer below the Keurig. The deck features a 2 person hot tub and outdoor patio seating area. During the evening you may see deer crossing through the yard. In the morning, you will hear the birds singing. Enjoy a cup of coffee from the deck and watch the sunrise.The yard is very large for children to run around, dogs to play, and adults to play corn hole! The corn hole boards are in the shed. There is a Keurig machine and a regular coffee machine that makes pots and cups. We provide 15 Keurig cups per guest stay. Outdoor furniture, fire pit, and smoker grill included with each booking at no extra cost. We do sell firewood for $10 per large bag.We recommend 4x4 or all wheel drive from December to mid March. We keep our road plowed so it’s usually in good shape but winter storms can happen during these months.The two best things this mountain has to offer is the stars on a clear night and the sun rises up behind the view and is one of the most beautiful things you'll see all year. When the sun rises it allows you to see just a little further than during the day. Mushroom Trail 🍄 is now open and free to all guests. It features over 60 different giant mushrooms, giant flowers, and a large natural sandbox to give your little ones something to do. Giant connect 4, & corn hole boards are also on site and free to use. Please no business use or parties without owner written consent. We do have outdoor security cameras on site mainly for theft. A stone fireplace with a pellet stove makes for cozy winters and above the fireplace whilst an authentic Black Bear watches over you. The kitchen of course is fully equipped with everything you would expect and the furniture in the living room is very comfortable. Towards the back, you will find the Master Bed Room with a queen bed. It connects to the Master bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, toilet and a double vanity.The house offers easy access for those with moderate mobility problems, as we installed a gently sloping ramp between the parking lot and the front door.Upstairs, you will find two bed rooms, each with two twin beds. One of the two bed rooms has private access to the full bathroom with separate toilet, shower tub and double vanity. At the front of the house, there is a loft for relaxing with extensive views. On the lower level, you will find another bed room with a queen bed. The bathroom has a tiled shower, toilet and sink. Feel free to use any and all river access and all of the fire-pits on property (3 total). The Big House is located in the New River Gorge National Park, the newest national park. There is access to Sandstone Landing's patio alongside the New River. It is a fully furnished home with outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a beautiful view of the river. It is a great starting point for exploring all the beautiful sites and attractions that southern West Virginia and the New River Gorge have to offer.To get to the home, you will go across railroad tracks, we are near the railroad tracks. It is in a small, friendly neighborhood. You can walk to Sandstone General Store and Eatery to get any necessities you may have forgotten for your trip or get a meal.If you plan to fish, there is also a bait and tackle store. Be sure to have a WV fishing license to be able to fish, though. The sandstone boat launch is within walking distance of the house.An extra that we provide our guests is access to the Sandstone Landings patio on the river, this is a shared space with our Sandstone Landings guests. It is just a short walk from the home. The upper level of the patio is equipped with a dining table and chairs. Lower level of patio has outdoor furniture to enjoy the river view or to sit in while you fish in the New River.Please remember to add your pets to your booking if you will be bringing your furry friends with you.
