Plentiful wildlife sightings including mule deer, whitetail deer, elk, fox, eagles, osprey, hawks, sandhill cranes and more. Oftentimes at night you can hear elk calling out in the upper elevations and if you love stargazing, you’ll be amazed at the beautiful nighttime sky! Sunrises and sunsets are not to be missed as they are colorful and inspiring. This one-level home accommodates 1-6 guests. Whether you're a single person who loves lots of space, a couple or a small group, Yellowstone Sky Vacation Rental offers a private, peaceful and clean home base. Yellowstone National Park’s north entrance in Gardiner, MT is a GORGEOUS 40-minute scenic drive that follows the famed Yellowstone River and is the ONLY entrance that is open year-round into Yellowstone’s Northern Range where you can drive your own vehicle from Mammoth Hot Springs to Cooke City, MT during the winter months.Whitewater rafting, scenic river floats, fly fishing, hiking, private Yellowstone Park tours, hot spring soaking, horseback riding, cross country skiing, winter wildlife viewing, and downhill skiing are some of the fun activities that are offered in this area. The town of Livingston is a 25-minute drive and offers many restaurants, shopping, museum, grocery stores, bars, gas stations, post office, hospital, pharmacy, park and more. There is a small grocery store and gas station in Emigrant, which is a 15-minute drive. The Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport is a beautiful 60-minute drive…unless you stop to take photos along the way (which we’re sure you’ll want to do)! Home Amenities Include:- 2,025 sq. ft. of living space on one level with propane heat, electric fireplace and air conditioning. This home does not have central air, but is cooled with portable air conditioners to ensure it’s comfortable during the summer months. Please Note: 5 stairs are required to enter the front door.- Private Parking. It’s a 2 mile drive on a maintained gravel road to our vacation rental. The speed limit is 25 mph.- Sleeping Accommodations: 4 bedrooms. (3 bedrooms each have 1 queen bed. 1 bedroom has 2 twin beds). Plenty of closet space is available in each bedroom.- The master bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom, 2 large walk-in closets.- 3 full bathrooms (2 bathrooms have a tub/shower combination. The ensuite bathroom has a separate shower and tub, along with 2 sinks).- Dining room is connected to a spacious outdoor deck. The gas grill is located on the deck at the entrance. A beautiful log table comfortably seats 6 indoors. Deck furniture is provided for outdoor dining on nice days. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas offer stunning views of the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains!- 2 living rooms. A beautiful electric fireplace and Smart TV are in one living room and the other offers a comfortable space to read, play games, relax, etc. Board games provided.- High Speed WiFi- 55” Smart TV- A small office is located next to the dining room and is equipped with a desk and chair.- Laundry room with a washer/dryer. Laundry detergent is provided. Iron/ironing board.- The well equipped kitchen has a refrigerator/ice maker, four-burner electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, pots/pans, dinnerware, drinkware, utensils, toaster, blender, coffeemaker and tea kettle. Basic cooking spices are provided.- If you’d rather eat out, there are amazing restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive including Chico Hot Springs Resort, Sage Lodge, The Livery Stable, Follow Yer Nose BBQ, WildFlour Bakery, Yellowstone Valley Lodge and Pine Creek Lodge & Cafe which all offer a variety of delicious menu options, along with libations. Some of these great establishments offer live music on the weekends.We live onsite in our own home and are available for any questions or guidance. We respect your privacy and will be available by phone, text, VRBO messaging or in person if needed. All surfaces, handles, and remotes will be disinfected after check out and before new guests arrive. We have a few adorable animals including one dog named Koda, 4 cats named Otis, Milo, Gypsy and Sammie, 2 miniature goats named Huckleberry & Blueberry and several chickens.—IMPORTANT POLICIES—- No more than 6 guests are allowed per booking. We keep our prices low so that people can afford to stay in this beautiful place. If you are looking for an affordable "glamping" spot - this is it! The Bird House (BH) is a cute apartment above an art studio/workshop in the beautiful Paradise Valley - 30 minutes from the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park.IMPORTANT - the guest house does NOT HAVE AN INDOOR SHOWER. It has 12 steps to access the living space. We do have a gorgeous outdoor shower. We are also only 8 minutes from Chico Hot Springs, we offer our guests Chico tokens (one per person/one time only) for the natural hot springs pool and shower, if our outdoor shower is not available due to weather. The BH has a small kitchen area with a hotplate, three options for a coffee maker, a toaster, and a refrigerator, as well as a small BBQ grill outside. In the bathroom is a sink and a toilet. The Bird House has an adorable main room, filled with original art, books, TV, and internet. There is a queen-sized bed with luxurious bedding, and also a single bed. (We also have a double blow-up mattress if needed.) The occupancy of the Birdhouse is 3-4 people. The windows look directly out at beautiful Chico Peak, and just a little further south is Emigrant Peak. Both peaks are framed in the window directly across from the bed. It is located in a small, extremely quiet neighborhood with close proximity to Mill Creek and the Yellowstone River. We have an outside grill and picnic table for your use. Right behind the BH is a large organic garden, and we are happy to share veggies and flowers with our guests when available and in season. There is available parking right at the entrance to the BH alongside the steps. Please don't block the driveway. PLEASE NOTE THE APARTMENT IS UP A FLIGHT OF 12 STAIRS. It has solar lighting for night arrival. We live on the property, but our many guests over the years have assured us that it is a quiet, comfortable, private space. It does take a certain kind of guest to appreciate this cozy apartment with its lack of an indoor shower. However, our guests seem to love the shower!We are very close to several great places to eat:Chico Hot Springs (4stars), Sage Lodge, The Old Saloon, Follow Yer Nose BarBQ, Wildflour Bakery, The Outpost, and Yellowstone Valley Grill. You are also about 15 minutes from Livingston, MT (north) and 20 minutes from Gardiner, MT (south). We have plenty of music venues near us if you are looking for nightlife. We love animals, but many people have allergies; there is a small additional cleaning fee of $10/night. We sometimes offer river shuttles if we are available, so ask us about that as well.If you add a guest or have more than 4 in your party, there will be an extra night charged. Please, no drugs, no smoking, no fighting, or loud nightlife. Our guests tell us that they have the most restful, quiet sleep at our place. When you leave, we ask you to strip your beds, empty and take all garbage with you. The closest dumpster is south of us on East River Road at the Chico green boxes. If this is a problem, talk with us about a trip to the dumpsters. Sometimes you can throw it in the back of our truck.*Note, Our place consists of 2 yellow (winter wheat) stucco structures with red metal roofs, and we are the 2nd place (right) on Cedar Lane. We are 16 CEDAR LANE. Arrival time is 4:00 pm. The Bird House will be open and ready for you. Please drive in with caution, as the two golden doodles that serve as greeters may be outside.
