When you walk in, you are in the living room / dining room area. It is also the kitchen as well. The ceilings are also cathedral, so the space feels majestic. Off of this area, there is a screened in porch on which you have a clear view of the lake, our front yard. There is the main bedroom, which used to be two bedrooms. Therefore, this is not a small room. It contains the built-in workstation on one side of the room and the sleeping area on the other. Upstairs is the "one-room bunkhouse," holding four beds for a good amount of sleeping space. And finally, downstairs is where the laundry room is located.Guest accessYou will have access to the main house and laundry room. There is a detached garage and workshop that will not be accessed by guests.Other things to noteThere is canoe and kayaks on the premises. We also have provided a few life vests. There are cameras on the exterior of the property and they are monitored periodically.*There are tree lines on either side of the property. those are the property lines. please respect these lines and do not trespass on my neighbors property. Forest Pond Cottage is located in the Adirondack Park in Northern New York. Pets are welcome for a small fee per stay/per pet. Access to snowmobile & ATV trails are right from the cottage. It is situated on the edge of a seven acre beaver pond and surrounded by 115 acres of beautiful forest. The cottage is the only dwelling at the end of a town road which allows for easy year-round access yet ensures privacy. With every season there is a whole new variety of outdoor activities to enjoy. THE COTTAGEThe cottage is an oasis from everyday living with all the comforts of home to recreate from within. There are endless trails for hikers, bikers, cross country skiing, ATVs and snowmobiles. Lakes, streams, rivers, mountains and thousands of acres of State land that is yours to enjoy. We have had everything there from weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, family reunions to private getaways. It's a great place for individuals to share time & space with loved ones. The owners live only two miles up Number Four Rd; close enough to always be available if & when needed.INDOOR AMENITIESAll linens for bed, bath & kitchen are provided as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Life preservers are there also for canoe ventures. A newly built deck has been added to the pond. A bonfire site for stargazing at night is always fun.
