Branch lake is known as one of the top rated lakes in Maine for its water purity and very unique sparse population as its the watershed for Ellsworth. Less than half the lakeshore is developed, especially the Southern end, making one feel wonderfully cutoff from civilization! Mainguy's is one of the nicest or best camps on Branch Lake for its location and amenities just off Route 1, center lake location, deep water frontage with a dive tower (23 feet deep), small beach, lakeside fireplace and exceptional knotty pine interior with top of the line appliances, new beds, bar, Starlink Wifi & 3 large LED TV's. The year round house/camp was totally gutted from top to bottom and remodelled in 2015/2025 and is just 40 feet from the waters edge. Ideally designed for families or 2 couples as there are 2 separate indoor entertainment areas. There is 1 ground floor bedroom with a king & full bathroom near it. Level 1 has 1 double bedroom & 1 queen bedroom plus a 2 twins (bunk bed) bedroom with a full bathroom in the corridor. Level 2 has the master king bedroom which has a 1/2 bathroom next to it along with a loft across the suspended walkway hosting a double bed. The kitchen is completely remodelled with state of the art appliances, dual oven, 36 inch fridge with ice maker , dual gas stove and dishwasher along with a convection microwave oven. Hardwood flooring is laid throughout the 1st floor including the kitchen along with new wrap around quartz countertops. The house has all new linen and towels you will need along with all kitchen utensils and dishes. The ground floor has luxury vinyl flooring which can handle the sandy traffic in and out the sliding glass door to the sand beach . The hammock right near the dock is often fought over during the day or evening as a perch to watch the fire in the lakeside fireplace. Sunsets from the deck are magic! A very scenic 30 minute drive takes you into the famed Acadia National Park or towards Bucksport to start a must do memorable drive along the coastline down to Camden with all the roadside charm and antique shopping. In case you are short of space and require additional space or just more privacy, there is an optional very luxurious contemporary 2 king bed bedrooms apartment with ensuite bathrooms, kitchenette with dishwasher/microwave oven, 4 seat island, living room with 65" smart TV, and 2 terraces with great views over the lake. A Historic landmark since 1947 on Rt 1 at the gateway to the Acadia area.Each cottage has its own decor and features a covered porch. This cottage is furnished with a large queen bed. Additional amenities include Mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, desk space, and a TV with Roku.Like a hotel room but with more privacy. Why stay in a regular hotel when you can have your own colorful cottage. Each cottage is its own unique space. Private and comfortable featuring a covered porch with outdoor sitting area, 1 queen bed, private bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine, flat screen TV, and desk space.**NO KitchenGuests will have access to their own private cottage as well as use of the grounds. There is a shared Fire Pit. There is a spot right down the road that sells camp wood. Please leave the area as you found it. Clean up any mess and make sure the fire is expelled completely before leaving it unattended.Things to note:-These cottages are bedrooms only and do not have full kitchens.-Parking is directly in front of the cottage leaving the gravel road clear for other cars to pass.-This is one of 7 cottages, 5 apartments and a 5 bedroom house on the property.-The Internet service is slow in the area, it is OK but can be effected by anything from wind to humidity, even connected directly to the router it can be slow and spotty.
