The house is set on a 3 hectare property on a hillside over the Douro river. It is an organic farm with vineyards, fruit trees, backyard with vegetables and herbs and several garden areas. It also has a forest area overlooking the Douro river.The farmhouse, completely fenced, is entirely for the exclusive use of renters during the holiday period. Our guests can harvest organic vegetables, herbs and farm fruits. At Quinta da Vinha Nova we produce Portinha Green Wine.The house was built by filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira.
