Stamford Gables is a most welcoming B&B. Our plane was late arriving into Albany and so we didn’t arrive at the Gables until after 9pm. We were greeted with a smile. The room is large and comfortable. And the breakfasts were yummy! I splurged with the stuffed French toast one morning and was happy I did. We completely enjoyed the family atmosphere created by the owners and guests around the breakfast table.

Stamford Gables was a great place to stay. The Churchill Room was big, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The large bathroom was very well appointed with a large shower and very fluffy towels. The room had everything we needed plus. Jean and Jim were great hosts. There were many hot breakfast choices with wonderful pastries baked by Jean. We enjoyed meeting and socializing with them. If you are ever in the Catskills area, we highly recommend staying at Stamford Gables.

Lovely inn, beautifully restored by current owners. We stayed when attending a wedding at the nearby Blenheim farms, an easy drive away. Our room was large, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was made to order with a good range of options, served hot and tasty! The atmosphere was relaxed and homey. Jean and Jim, the owners, were friendly and very obliging to meet our needs. I’d highly recommend the Stamford Gables Inn.

We came to Samford area for a wedding in Jefferson. The room (Churchill Room) was very spacious and very clean. Jean & Jim were very helpful even before we arrived (I had contacted them to give us dinner suggestions so I could make a reservation). The air conditioning worked very well which was very much needed for a hot July. The bathroom had all the amenities I needed (dryer, big towels and shower, shampoo/conditioner/soap). The breakfast was delicious and there were cookies, coffee and tea available all day. Nice area to sit outside and eat as well if you wanted to. The house was well insulated and we weren't disturbed by noise in the other parts of the house. We had a great stay.

Jean and Jim are the perfect hosts. The Gables is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are very well put together and very comfortable. Truly a 5 star B&B. We go to Stamford quite often to visit family and it's a great place.

Great stay and great breakfast! We loved the west room and the hospitality could not have been better. Good restaurants nearby. Rooms were plenty warm even in the January cold. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning if we’re in the area again!

I have stayed in lots of hotels and B and Bs in my life but, this place has to top the list. Overall, the house is quite lovely, the grounds well-kept. The room I stayed in was immaculate, spacious and beautiful. The king-sized bed was the most comfortable (and over been to 5-star hotels), and the bathroom had a separate dressing room with a large tiled shower (great water pressure). Breakfast in the large kitchen was delicious: farm fresh eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, any kind of toast, plus freshly made scones and squeezed OJ. Visually, the place was obviously lovingly restored and the attention to detail was 9bvious wherever you looked. I cannot say enough about the owners who were kind, attentive, fun, and helpful. I will definitely stay there again, and urge anyone who goes to Delaware County to try it. You will thank me!

What a lovely B & B. Close to Hobart, NY the Booktown that is so darn cute. Jean was awesome. Took good care of us and made the most delicious Stuffed French Toast and omelette. Very relaxing. LOVED the bathroom in the Churchill room. We'd stayed there again most definitely.

Jean and Jim are gracious hosts. This is a beautiful inn. Clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and quiet. Bathrooms are large. Jean answered all our questions especially about where to eat during off season. A delicious breakfast was cooked table side with heavenly blueberry muffins. We will be returning in the Spring - can't wait.
