Stalis Hotel

Any time of the day it was nice to visit the Stalis restaurant. The choice for breakfast and dinner was good. something for everyone. The team thanks for your friendly hospitality and especially Jestter who understands what customer friendliness means.

I just came back from my holidays in Crete. It was a fantastic experience and Stalis Hotel was beyond my expectations. From the first until the last minute I was pampered by the staff. My flight was delayed and I arrived to the hotel very late at night. My room was prepared and my dinner was waiting for me. The check in was smooth and the gentleman in the reception was very professional. The next morning, a lovely lady called Despina attended all my questions in the reception. I want to highlight the most welcoming smile I ever received in a Hotel. Second step, the breakfast: I don't have enough words to describe the exceptional quality and variety of available food and drinks. I'm not a breakfast person, however I couldn't resist the delicious pastries, the fresh fruit, and although I don't eat the traditional English breakfast I can say that nothing was missing, from the eggs to the sausages. The room cleanliness was spotless. Towels and bedding changed frequently and room cleaned daily. The swimming pool is a treat. With a welcoming bar, sunbeds, sun shades, music and a very nice gentleman called Arian, attending the bar and checking customer's confort, both in the swimming pool and the beach. The lounge is wide and comfortable, perfect for some chill out before or after dinner. Can't recall the name if the gentleman attending the longe bar, but at my request he prepared me an iced coffee just as I asked him. Let me describe dinner: Outstanding!!! If I was surprised with breakfast, I can say the dinner standard is excellent. Huge variety of hot and cold food, some food being prepared at the moment (is buffet style). All topped up with some if the best desserts I ever tasted. The atmosphere was always perfect. The staff is kind, speak a variety of languages, always ready to help or advise. I didn't try the spa and gym. I'm sure they would be upon the same standards. The location is perfect. Although spread through different buildings, they are less than 50 meters from each other. Access for reduced mobility people in all the hotel areas, including the pool. Stalis is an exceptional hotel, with a small village ambiance, family touch and the decoration goes accordingly to what we enjoy in a beach resort. I will come back. Definitely 😁

The room was clean, tidy, and modern, cleaners came everyday except for Sunday I believe. The hotel was split into different buildings so we weren't in the 'main' building, but a short walk down from it. The all-inclusive food options were very basic, and felt more like a school canteen than being on holiday, and the drinks options were fairly limited also, having to pay extra if you wanted anything more than a basic spirit+mixer/lager etc. The pool was quite small and loungers were taken early, but the beach was lovely and sandy so we were situated there most of the time. It was situated on a bustling road with lots of things to do, bars, restaurants, mini golfing etc, and if you continue following down the road for around 30-40 minutes you'll reach Malia if you want some nightlife. Great location, and great if looking for a budget friendly holiday. Staff were lovely and very friendly.

Hotel is located in a great location, close to the sea (around 1 minute walk). Rooms are clean, service is ok, in general it's a good value for the money. Rooms are cleaned daily. Hotel consists of several buildings, restaurant was located in another building but food was delicious with a great selection and you can find something for each taste. Big minus is a pool. The pool is located next to the sea and is tiny, far from our room. It was always filled with kids with inflatable toys and it was impossible to use the pool during our stay as it was always filled with people. There is a lot of room on the beach, but you need to pay for the chairs and umbrellas, but luckily we could always find an available spot so it wasn't too overfilled with people. Under the restaurant there is a spa called Nautilus. There is also a gym but a special thanks goes to a wonderful masseur Michel. I arrived to Crete with a pain in my back and I had a chronic pain in my leg. During two massage sessions all my pains were gone. He also mentioned all the problematic spots on my body that I should look into. A huge thanks to him, he's a magician and I really recommend you visit him. Next year I'll definitely visit him again.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Stalis. The location is great, the rooms are clean, the people are very friendly and the food is good. I especially enjoyed the massage in Nautilus Spa. Michael has a wonderful energy. He promised me I would feel amazing afterwards and he kept his promise. I would reccomend anyone to at least try it once during your stay!

Hotel was spread out across different locations which was okay once we had found our bearings , check in was very efficient after being dropped off at the back of the hotel due to poor access in the front. Nico on the reception desk was very helpful with our luggage and very helpful with further information we required always smiling and pleasant. The Pool area that was situated across the road down towards the Beach had only 12 sun beds with a further 10 beds on a lower level these were always taken very early by regular guests , the remaining sun beds on the Beach had to be paid for at 7 euros a day or even more expensive further along the Beach. The Pool Barman Arian was always friendly ,attentive , welcoming and efficient . Mario the Barman in the Main reception area was always very busy at the Bar and also during Breakfast he made us feel very welcome and kept us entertained, correcting our pigeon Greek language. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he did his best to accommodate everyone’s wishes. The Hotel accommodation itself was a little tired but adequate for 3* The Hotel Wi-Fi was very poor in areas especially our room , it was okay at the Pool Bar and Reception. Breakfast food was always cool or warm at best , bacon cold and burnt, beans cold, limited bread selection shortage of butter , tea bags limited , coffee machine not always repetitive , drinks machine very watery. People were smoking in the food areas. The Beach area was always kept clean , Sea water was pleasant to bathe in ,warmer than the Pool Overall our stay was made pleasurable by the Staff, Mario,Nico and Arian .
