The Prince of Wales Hotel

OK - but wouldn’t go again . The staff are nice but the hotel itself is looking very tired and our evening meal was barely edible. The constant cheesy pop music in all the indoor and outdoor seating areas is really annoying and they have it playing from breakfast in the morning through to last thing at night.

Good spot for Sunday breakfast. Definitely recommend: Full English or Sausage rolls. Delicious coffee Relaxed vibe: Child friendly Great views Helpful staff Plenty of parking Close to the beach for stroll afterwards ! Good place for meeting up with friends and or family

I would give it a 5 if the rooms were updated as they are stuck in the 90s. Manager and staff super friendly and the food was really good! Breakfasts can be as big or as small as you wish. Evening dinner was big and super filling. Beach a 2 min walk down a little hill. Taxis very expensive so hire a car or ask Lukas about buses as 11.20 for 4 of you to most places (found this out too late!!). Room number 5 had a very hard mattress and did not sleep well at all but with no spares they had to make do with 2 extra duvets on top that didn't help. All in all we had a good stay bar a couple of snags. Would love to come back again and very well may do come the better weather.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here - got great room with shared balcony over the beach. All staff and especially manager really friendly, amazing breakfasts and had an outstanding seafood linguine at dinner, husband had fish and chips with delectable cod. Fantastic part of the island but we will be back to explore more

We stayed at the Prince of Wales on our walking holiday on Jersey. It is the only place to stay at Greve de Lecq. It is in a picturesque location overlooking the small bay and beach. It is, in parts, a little run down. The corridors and dim, not improved by the brown painted doors. The furniture in our room was cheap and rickety. Leads running everywhere from the plugs. The bathroom was rather shabby, but there was a decent shower. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was fine. We had a good night’s sleep. The views were marvellous. There was a large terrace outside our windows where you could sit down and enjoy the view. The service at the bar was off hand. Perhaps I caught the barmaid on a bad day. The bar area itself feels like a typical, not so smart, English pub. Everyone was watching football on a huge screen. The service overall could be improved. We had to drag our suitcases up the stairs. Everywhere else we stayed our suitcases where either taken up to our room or there was a lift. The dining room is light and airy with great views. The food was good. Breakfast was huge, with quality products. Dinner was also very good. My wife had two starters, Scallops and a prawn cocktail. I had a fillet of bass with Jersey Royal potatoes and veggies. Delicious. We finished it off with a shared Eton Mess – price £51. To drink I had a Breda beer and my wife had a G&T, and we had a bottle of decent house red – price £44.70. I had the impression that the place was undergoing a gradual refurbishment. The host is doing a good job but more investment is required.

Super hotel; friendly, clean, pleasant attentive staff and great location. Highly recommended folks. Best breakfast of all time - wow. Thanks to the manager and his team for making us feel so welcome. Also benefits from an hourly bus service stopping outside taking you into the capital.
