St. Ives Holiday Village

My family of 9 and myself enjoyed our stay here. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly and always went the extra mile to make us welcome. For anyone who wants to make memories to last a lifetime, you must visit here. Thank you for having us

We stayed four nights in this fantastic location from start to finish the staff were more than helpful, friendly amd very informative. The price was fantastic. We booked a gold Lodge and it was a real home from home, it was far better than we were expecting, warm and very cosy. It's central location meant we could easily get out and about to see everything we wanted to and more. We would without a doubt stay here again thank to all the team, for making our stay memorable, specially the reception team and Scott who was a fantastic bingo caller all round entertainer.

Fantastic entertainment team dave and Emma, and the two other girls were fantastic great in-house entertainment show country show put on by the team they worked relentlessly day and night provide great show and were amazing g with the kids loved st ives and loved the site excellent value family's but wouldn't be the same without the friendly caring entertainment staff .

Great cheap break away - we had the detached gold chalet. Chalet - a little musty with overgrown plants around the outside but it also felt like we were in the forest. Plus good WiFi, privacy, quiet and had all facilities we needed, including dishwasher. Just missing a chopping board. Park - great swimming pool that was warm with a slide, woodland walk and parks were great, entertainment good especially Megaslam (get there early for a table), bar good price. Amusements disappointing - not many machines working. Staff were really great and friendly at the pool - my little boy did zorbing and the staff were brilliant in what was a physically demanding job. Swimming needs to be booked at 7pm the night before and will book up quickly for the next day. You can book the other activities in advance on the John fowler app - don’t need booking reference. EV charging - very slow and only two hook ups but also very cheap and great if you can use it overnight. Overall a lovely little holiday.

Bronze chalet! Accommodation poor, not comfy Very old outdated, smelly and not clean, cobwebs and flaking paint on ceiling. Complained to maintenance about lack of hot water? It Was trickling they came and looked and advised there was nothing that could be done! Too many people in the area, everyone would be same? Trying to wash pots and shower was horrendous water was trickling out. We also lost all our fresh food from the fridge on the first morning of our stay- The fridge was off? This is not the responsibility of the guest to check- Turned the dial started buzzing! Contacted reception, she advised she will send someone over to check and issue a voucher to replace items lost? 2 men arrived took photos of the fridge and turned it up to 7 heard nothing after Tried to call office no Answer, went down to reception. She advised that it was down to the fridge been on low! And that I wasn’t entitled to a refund! I complained and advised it was off! I know how fridges work! I asked to speak to manager she said she was not in until evening and that she would get her to call me! Didn’t get a call! At any point from them! Also the cooker! All the dials and numbers had faded! We needed to Google the cooker and the specifications to find out how to work it! We spent most days off the park, Childs play area outdated, poor amenities, arcade most games not working, bar expensive, The entertainers for the children spent more time huddled together then interacting with the children. Glad to be home would not recommend Over priced for what they have to offer! Needs upgrade.

This is a lovely park, and our caravan was excellent. Ideally located with easy transfer links to St Ives. Unfortunately let down by a miserable and patronising team of ‘stripeys’. We have stayed at John Fowler a number of times before, including this park and the entertainment staff have always bent over backwards to make sure you and your family have a great time. Sadly, this current group forget that not everyone needs to be treated like a child and that a holiday can be made by people going the extra mile. Shame as they have the opportunity to really make a holiday special and they achieved the opposite.
