We were on our honeymoon & the staff at Skaline decorated the room with ribbons and sweet messages! Really cute! All the staff were super friendly and sweet too. We found the bed too soft & our backs were aching & the staff helped to flip the mattress. We had a few early mornings & could not make it to breakfast and they gave us pre packed sandwiches fruits and a drink the night before! Room was clean, staff were great, a truly enjoyable stay!

Geweldig hotel. Vriendelijk personeel. Inchecken was ook mogelijk nadat de receptie gesloten was, ze waren namelijk telefonisch goed bereikbaar. Goede locatie, op nog geen kwartier lopen van de oude binnenstad.

When we had booked these rooms, we realized that there was no lift but had asked for help to take up our luggage as we were 6 seniors! When we reached we called them and 2 young girls came to the taxi and hefted our 6 check- in suitcases like weight lifting champions! And carried them up 2 flights of stairs. We were really impressed and grateful. Skaline is set in a block of buildings a bit away from the old city. We were early so we walked towards the centre ,crossing a big road and through some interesting little lanes and alleys. Many ice cream parlours and bakeries and lovely little chapels. Interesting graffiti and paintings on walls. The rooms and bathrooms are really modern, comfortable clean and well maintained! The Staff ( comprising ladies and gentlemen) at reception and the support ladies were very warm and always had a smile and were willing to help in every way.. There was no kettle but they gave me their spare one to use to make our coffee and tea that I needed at odd times ! Thank you so much. A map was given and places were marked clearly so we had no problem wandering towards the Promenade and Old town. We went for a walking tour of the Palace in the evening with the man with the blue umbrella... from Rodomo? ( I think) You can get some essentials in the Tommy supermarket.... one minute away. I bought some coffee tea sachets and some knickknacks. We had 3 nights here and slept well in comfortable beds. Breakfast is ample with plenty of variety. The lady in charge of breakfast cooks the eggs according to your preference. There are breads, pancakes, plenty of fruits, cheese, salami, salad with lettuce and tuna flakes. They even had Almond milk. Be aware that on Sundays many shops are closed but bakeries, ice cream parlours and eateries are open. We booked an "Apodos" blueline trip to the beautiful town of Trogir, Roman ruins in Salone, Olive press and Kliss Fortress. It was a lovely comfortable trip in a bus. The previous evening we checked out where we had to take the bus as we had to leave early. It was near Terminal F in the promenade. In the night we took a taxi back from the food court in the promenade to Skaline. It was Euro 20. Our stay in Skaline was very comfortable . A big thank you to all the staff.

Superb little hotel and well managed by caring staff. I’ve luckily travelled well across the globe, and this hotel is certainly special. I have stayed in 5* luxury resorts but Skaline has better rooms than most on my list - a Sony TV, Samsung AC unit and even a classy Grohe shower…the owners didn’t cut corners with quality expenses to ensure guests have a pleasant stay…and that was certainly the case. You can even hire a top of the range mountain bike for €10 a day. Bargain and great experience when exploring Marjan National Park. Location of hotel was great and a 10 minute walk to town / Palace / Harbour. Special thanks to Ivana the manager, Vedrana and Marino the reception staff and an extra special thanks to Andrea the chef who always went the extra mile and had a constant smile 😀. If I had to find a negative with the stay it was that there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Overall highly recommended and 5* stay. The staff made the trip really memorable.

Located on the first floor of a 4 storey block in a secondary area, a ten minute walk North of the centre, the external impression is underwhelming. However the warm and friendly greeting at reception and the small, but very nicely finished and immaculately clean, ensuite room changed our feeling. The continental breakfast buffet was provided in a small room but with a lovely choice of fresh and interesting choices which varied each day. Once we got used to the area we found the walk down to the historical centre quite enjoyable with various small bars and cafes catering for locals at a much reduced cost. Using local buses and a small 'road train' we explored Kris Castle (30 mins) and the coastal forest park alongside the architectural delights of the old town. A very relaxed and enjoyable few days to balance the week on Hvar Island which preceded our stay. A convenient 30 minute taxi to the airport on the last morning avoided a hectic, taxi-boat-taxi return. We would stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay at this place. The entire staff is extremely warm and friendly. They go out of the way to make your stay smooth and comfortable. The service levels are par excellence. We had left behind some items by mistake and they posted them for us all the way back to India. A big thank you to Ivana!

Nice, modern rooms and bathroom. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Great location. Tasty breakfast. Awesome staff!!!! Thank you all for a wonderful experience! I would recommend it to anyone and will come back when in Split!

The place doesnt look great from outside and you have to walk up a few steps inside the building to get to Reception. Then you get a great welcome from brilliant staff. Room was excellent. Breakfast buffet was great, plentiful, again excellent.

This hotel is run by a set of Charlie’s Angels, where they not only run the hotel without fault, but they manage to supply guests with full guidance and any assistance needed. The rooms are just what you need for a stay in Split, clean spacious, well equipped and well lit. The breakfast is superb!

Though the hotel is a 15 minute walk into the heart of the town and the harbour promenade/main street (which can be a little daunting in the dark late at night) and was somewhat difficult to find, the hotel itself is wonderful. The staff on reception was always polite helpful and welcoming and the breakfast is lovely. Bread, cereals, cheeses, meats, fruit, crepes, pastries… Rooms were clean and new sheets provided each day with Netflix and good hot water shower. On the days we couldn’t make breakfast due to booked excursions, they made us a pack of cheese and ham sandwiches, fruit and a bottle of water each to take away. They were also kind enough to let us leave our bags after check out and collect later in the day to save us carrying them around all day. Would definitely recommend :)
