Called previous day for early check in due to weather (I was on a cross-country motorcycle trip) and Peggy, the motel clerk said I could absolutely check in early. I arrived yesterday & checked in with a man who appeared to be manage/owner. He said “ I put you in back” Right away I became suspicious. I asked, was the driveway paved, he replies.”yes” I go back there to inspect and see huge pools of standing rainwater in a driveway of disrepair. I told him I would absolutely not be able to drive my motorcycle through that water. He became very rude and belligerent, and said “ you shouldn’t complain” & “ you can drive around the other way” and” rooms in the front will cost more money” I refused the room & the shakedown for more $…….. said I would wait for the next room should be cleaned which I did. Just rude, unprofessional and shoddy behavior by this manager/owner‼️ He needs to be retrained in customer interaction and service per Wyndham standards. In fact, I’m very surprised this motel qualifies as a Wyndham facility, given the behavior that I experienced and have described above.
