Premier Inn Southampton City Centre (West Quay)

I like the location. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

At first, our first impression was one of dread. We (My wife and myself) booked for early access to our room. When we got there we were amazed to find that the room wasn't prepared at all. Unmade beds and many signs of the previous occupants. However, after contacting reception everythin was rapidly and thoroughly corrected. When we ordered our evening meal, the prices were more than reasonable, and the food served was one of the best meals we have had for a long time, even considering that we were returning from a P&O Caribbean Cruise. We had different dishes, so the food gets a full 100% for taste, quality, quantity, and overall appearance. The bed was very comfortable, and the sound proofing was excellent, ensuring a plesant nights sleep for both of us. We are both pensioners in our 70s.

Located opposite the West Quay shopping centre. The hotel has self check in, however there was a staff member on duty to help who was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and quiet. We did not have a bath, just a shower. Irons and ironing boards were available if needed. Also extra tea, coffee, milk etc. There is no onsite parking. We parked in West Quay multi storey which cost £7.00 for 24hours.

10/10 experience. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was hot. Staff were helpful and kind. Loved the 5th floor experience. Rooms were well decorated. Would definitely go back again. Hotel was convenient and was just next to WestQuay. Had a lovely time with my family.

The hotel is very conveniently sited for shopping and for the ferries. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet - we were on the 5th floor. The bed was very comfortable and we always bring our own pillows. I would certainly stay here again.

Myself and my partner along with his sister and her fiancé stayed here in April 2024 the night before we were due to go on our cruise from Southampton. For some reason the auto check in wouldn’t work and We had to wait a little while for someone to check us in but once done we were able to head to our rooms. Rooms are standard Premier Inn with everything we needed, comfy bed, decent bathroom etc and everything was clean. We didn’t use any other areas of the hotel really but had a good nights sleep as it was quiet. The following day when it was time to check out and leave was a bit of a nightmare as the lifts was just so busy with so many leaving with all their luggage etc to go on their cruises we were having to squeeze in where and when we could and go down separate to each other as most of the time the lift doors would open on our floor and would be full so it took a while to get down stairs. The hotel is situated near a shopping centre with shops, bars and restaurants etc so there were places near by to go to.
