A nice and clean room but very hard to find when it’s dark as not signposted very well and no lights in the car park

No service on reception unless a premium ate number called, bathroom wasn’t clean especially the shower curtain

Room clean, bed comfortable, room quite large but noise from the carpark a problem even if windows closed. Reception frequently unattended. No direct email address necessitating outrageous rip-off Premium number to contact the hotel.

If you want a good nights sleep because you are travelling as we were I would recommend somewhere else. Woken by staff at 4.40. Had to complain after 20 minutes of constant noise had woken whole family.

Good location, quiet, good for a one night stop, only issue was the carpet was soiled and looked like it was from a pet.

Have stayed several times. It’s not in the best setting but has all you need. Look for really good prices on Sundays.

Had asked in advance about a quiet room, given that this is at a service area on the A1. We were given a room at the back and, we are sure, it was much better The room was clean, basic with a large comfortable bed and there is easy parking Asked about eating Sunday evening, was advised we try a Chinese near by, China Moon - the place looks sad, hiding beside a petrol station. but inside it is great, the food was very good, taste and value and the staff very friendly

FIrst Impressions NOT good Looks nothing like the picture on your site due to overgrown vegetation and general tidiness of the site .Needs a good clean up

Avoid room 201. The service room next to it is noisy and the staff insisted that it was because we left the bathroom light on ? It wasn’t on) . Bizarrely the air vent has tape all over it so we can’t be the first to complain . Staff said there were no other rooms as fully booked and manager was on holiday and they didn’t have complaint email address ! Interestingly I went online and found availability for that same night at the same hotel and only when I proved this to staff did they move us …… moved us to Room 209 that although was a little quieter there was a bright orange light that was shining under the curtains from outside that made the room so bright it was hard to sleep again ! Staff insisted the noise was traffic from the lorry park but it was not . Staff refused to get manager to contact me . Think honestly this is one travel lodge to avoid
