Sorrento Pool&Suites

Having seen the negative reviews I was concerned about what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. We were met by Giuseppe who let us checkin early and then went to use the excellent pool. It is annoying about the pool hats but in the flip side the pool is lovely and clean. The location is excellent, just outside the city walls. There is a superb and reasonably priced restaurant just across the street and several bakeries nearby. Giuseppe recommended a boat trip to the Amalfi coast which was one of the best experiences of my life.

The property was convenient to the sites and train station and it was clean. However it was over priced for what was provided. The room was small and the twin bed was barely more than a cot. The pool was only open for very limited hours, had to wear a bathing cap, could only enter via the bathing house and was very crowded with the condo residents. The listing is misleading that this is essentially a converted apt into 6 small hotel rooms. Also no way to contact the property other than phone and it is not on the sight and doesn't have an answering machine so checking was very challenging with very limited hours and we ended up waiting for hours and had trouble.locating the property and gaining entrance. The listing is misleading and communication is very challenging.

Do not waste your time or money here, move on! The apartments are located in a residential multi storey complex. Owner operates a few apartments and services are limited. The property was advertised with operation pool between June - September. Upon arrival we found on the 31st of May the pool was empty and we were then advised that it would be operational on the 15th of June. So after checking that the property had a pool we were bitterly disappointed to say the least. The property owner defended his false advertising stating that it was operational in June after the 15th and had no remorse. The building is in a sad state and presented very poorly. The apartment was on the 1st floor after a special request for a ground floor apartment over looking the pool. The room had very basic furniture and a bed that was uncomfortable that kept coming apart during the night. The bathroom was filthy with lots of mould right across the bathroom floor. We had to request a kettle, spoons and some cups as nothing was supplied. The exterior of the building is extremely run down and quite depressing.

The staff is amazing, and the people in the property are really nice and very helpful. The contact person of the property Giuseppe, is a wonderful human being, punctual and very professional. I stayed at this place due to my participation at a conference, and the first day suffered from immense jet lag, which caused me to create unnecessary problems for myself. Despite this, Giuseppe was patient, understanding, and extremely helpful. He even came in the rain just to help me resolve particular problems, which were a result of my jet lag and not the property. Toni was also very helpful, and prompt. The staff overall was amazing, and the services were of the same quality. The people living at this property are also quite nice, and always try to help you. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

The room looked cute when we were shown it by Tony but as we looked closer it was obvious the bathroom was not clean. The shower floor was stained and had a rusty stool inside. The grout through the the bathroom was stained and caulking discolored. We didn’t feel comfortable using the shower at all in its condition. The bathroom had double sinks which was very nice but they splashed water everywhere no matter how we adjusted them! The complimentary breakfast was not good. We did appreciate the two balcony’s, the AC worked well and the location was great, five minutes slightly downhill walk to the main part of sorrento. Just as a whole unfortunately it was quite the letdown.

Rooms and bathroom are nice for a small bedroom setting. Clean rooms and bed is nice. Pool service is shared with the apartment complex (this hotel or whatever is actually just a section of owned apartments), and the pool is annoyingly restrictive. Set hours which are not available in the afternoon, ends early, some dude guarding it demanding swimcaps be worn when I see tons of people swimming right now without them. Makes for a lame experience.
