What can I say, we absolutely loved our stay here, not only because of the location, how spotless and clean the place was, but mainly because of Antonio & Poula!! These guys are amazing, they treated us like we had known them for years.. They are such wonderful people, we have the ground floor apartment right on the courtyard, it’s was beautiful and the bonus was we did not have to carry the bags up flights of stairs! One night we decided to cook in the kitchenette and do some hand cleaning, we left the items to dry and when we returned the next day Poula had moved them all to the drying room for us, so nice! On another note, Antonio constantly kept in contact with us via WhatsApp before we arrived and completely reassured us, also, when we left for Cilento we ( I should I say, left some items) Antonio let me know and managed to arrange getting them posted to us at our new location.. Do not pass this place up, it’s perfect and central to everything in Sorento, it’s absolutely stunning! Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼

If you’re looking to stay somewhere more offbeat and also more affordable than a hotel in Sorrento, how about staying in a converted monastery? Our room at Villa Elisa was small, with a curved white ceiling that evoked the simple life of a succession of monks who once lived there. But unlike a monk's bed, ours was roomy and comfortable. A tiny built-in kitchen and bathroom gave us everything we needed for our five-day stay. Although right in the center of Sorrento, Villa Elisa is miraculously quiet. Its lush green courtyard with colorful tiled tables provides a little sanctuary from the town's hubbub. Its ornate iron entrance gate somehow keeps the throngs of tourists, cars, scooters and limoncello-themed shops peacefully at bay. Yet within minutes, we could be enjoying an excellent local pasta dish, licking a gelato, or sauntering on the lively pedestrian Corso Italia. Villa Elisa’s manager, Antonio, is extremely personable, kind and helpful. He assisted us when our transportation went askew and suggested places we might visit. If we have a chance, we’ll be back at Villa Elisa!

Thank you Antonio and family for a wonderful first visit to Sorrento. Villa Elisa is THE most perfect location with everything Sorrento has to offer on the doorstep. We're not one for hotels, we prefer to be independent, so the apartment suited us very well. The bed was super comfy (so often a problem when you're away) and the facilities in the apartment, although basic, offered everything you could possibly need (we ate out every day as you are spoilt for choice with restaurants). The courtyard is stunning and a great place to sit and unwind after a busy day. Antonio couldn't have been more welcoming, helping us to book tours and the bus back to the airport. Sorrento is a perfect base to explore the area and the apartment is only minutes from the main square, the many, many streets of the town, the port (ferries to Capri, Naples etc), the beach clubs, train station and our favourite place of all - Marina Grande.
