Wildhaven Sonoma Glamping

This place could do with focusing on the customer experience rather than trying to squeeze every last dollar from visitors. We just wanted to leave the car for a few hours but were initially told that we would have to pay for an early check in to do so. We then asked to move to empty cabins away from the road and were again told that we would have to pay for this. On the site, the first night was noisy as the campsite is so near to the road. And, yes, you can access the river but it is nothing special. We won’t be returning.

We throughly enjoyed our getaway to Wildhaven Sonoma. Such a cute and peaceful “glamping” experience. The grounds were well kept, staff super friendly, bathrooms/showers very clean. It was great that they also had 3 large bbq grills with cooking utensils for guests to use if they chose to, along with covered picnic areas. The store was small but had some much needed items, such as ice and firewood for sale. The tents were awesome and each had small lamps near the bedsides where you could charge your phone, etc. We were able to bring our pup, who had plenary of sleeping room on the floor for her own bed. We rented to larger size tent, and we also had more than enough room for all of our stuff. Definitely was cold at night so if you are planing a trip anytime soon, bring your warmest clothes, especially for the nighttime. The tent had a smaller space heater, which helped, but it was still cold regardless. Loved that each site had its own picnic table and fire pit for use. Definitely recommend this quaint getaway for those who want to recharge.

I love to camp but will not sleep on the ground anymore. This was the perfect location and a way for us to be out in nature comfortably. We stayed in the Riverside premium canvas tent with two queen beds. The beds are Tempur-pedic and super comfortable. It’s like a hotel room, with rugs and night table lamps. They have USB charging ports right in the lamps. Electrical outlets for the CPAP machine too. Quiet time after 10 PM is enforced, so every night was a good nights sleep. They provide a picnic table and hammock at each campsite. Also a shaded porch with table & chairs. The common restrooms and showers are clean and plentiful. The showers have good water pressure. Complimentary coffee provided at the camp store was a really nice touch. They also provided hot water for tea and oatmeal. Healdsburg is a 10 minute drive for Restaurants etc. or you could cook outdoors. The staff drives around in little carts making sure everyone is OK. They provide a bundle of firewood, kindling and matches. Would highly recommend and return!
