Baymont by Wyndham Smithfield

Reported bathroom light issues after I chked in, said it would be fixed next day...came up to guest service the next morning to double chk it would be fixed said it would, came in about 12am, still no lights in bathroom...was told NO Maintenace person on the wknd, I would have switched rooms Friday if I had known that...was told to call the Mgr on Monday I did & she just said housekeeping knows how to fixed but wasnt told, REALLY but no partial refund for the inconvenience just I'm Sorry...I was ewww about having to lift the door handle for it to close properly, oh repair for next guest...I could go on with what else I saw but I doubt I will be back & have stayed plenty of times because of location & staff usually but not anymore!!!!!

The rooms were clean, everything was fresh. The bed was very comfortable. Very inviting. The staff very helpful.

There was no phone or alarm clock in the room. All the spaces that were hidden like behind the nightstand were disgustingly filthy, and the "clean" towels were dingy and stiff. We did not use them.

Our 4 day visit turned into 8 nights, staff was great helping us and always checked if we needed anything. My surgery kept on getting delayed, so they helped us each day, we were scheduled painting and carpet being redone so where caught for 2-3 days no where, but Baymont was great taking care of us.

Great GM and staff! Kelly and staff are professionall and friendly, they do an awesome job! Guests are taken care of from check in to check out! Good breakfast, clean exterior, rooms! Good parking, and clean lot!

Very clean and updated property. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay. The manager Kelli is a great asset to your hotel. The staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants and shopping spots. I highly recommend this property

Everyone is so friendly it feels like family here everyone is always happy it's just a joyful place you can feel the love a lot of smile and always attentive to your needs I will always choose to stay here whenever I'm in this area bit you must come and see for yourself

The hotel is clean but extremely dated. Tv remotes don't turn on the TV, the lack of charging ports anywhere and the clock radio is from the 80's and unplugged. The staff was friendly and helpful. The most horrendous thing about this hotel is the swimming pool that has been closed so long the marsh grasses are growing and are well established. Wyndham is the corporate name but SisterHotel LLC is running this hotel. I hope Wyndam looks into this hotel and makes changes.

Overall we have found the Baymont motel chain a great place to stay at the various locations (including this one) great places to stay. Rooms have been found extremely clean and well maintained, staff is always polite and efficient, normally great locations for eateries. Well lighted and safety feeling is good.
