Magic Hotel

We had a brilliant stay at Magic Hotel Skiathos. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were so attentive, friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed in a deluxe double room on the top floor with the most amazing sea views. The room was spotless, serviced daily, and included a fridge with water on arrival (perfect for keeping refreshments cool throughout our stay). The spacious balcony had comfortable furniture and even a clothes dryer – a thoughtful touch. An added bonus was the mosquito repellent plug-in provided in the room. The pool area was a real highlight – peaceful, spotless, with plenty of sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas. Best of all, there was no “sunbed war” – you could always find a lounger at any time of day. The pool bar served great snacks and drinks throughout the day, which we really enjoyed. The View Restaurant at the hotel is probably the best in Agia Paraskevi. The menu has an excellent choice, the service is first class, and the food was fantastic – highly recommended. We also hired a quad bike for two days through Aegean Rental. It was delivered and collected directly to the hotel, making it so easy, and we had great fun exploring the island. A brilliant feature of the hotel is the free-to-use sunbeds and umbrellas available by reception, which you can take across the road to the beach. Such a clever and convenient idea. If you’re looking for a small, friendly boutique hotel with excellent service, then Magic Hotel is the perfect choice. Having worked in the travel industry for over 30 years and visited many leading hotels of the world, I can honestly say Magic Hotel is now one of my absolute favourites. Note: There is no lift in the hotel, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues

We had a lovely stay at the Magic Hotel. Monica and her team were brilliant and could not do enough for us. The rooms were very clean, and the maids were doing a great job. We had some great meals in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. We will definitely return.

We’ve been coming to Skiathos for over 10 years, and our recent stay at the Magic Hotel was, once again, absolutely wonderful. This time, we stayed in a superior suite as a family of three, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The room was spacious, beautifully presented, and spotlessly clean, with excellent air conditioning (a must in the Greek summer!). The views were simply stunning, and having a washing machine was such a useful bonus for a family trip. Our 10-year-old son was thrilled with his very large and comfy sofa bed, and we all loved relaxing on our large balcony—a real highlight of the suite. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Monica greeted us like old friends, remembering not only us from previous visits but even my parents from over 20 years ago—such a warm, personal touch that means so much. It’s this kind of hospitality that keeps us coming back. The pool area is lovely and peaceful, with no need to rush for sunbeds—a refreshing change from so many other resorts. Everything feels relaxed and civilised, which is exactly what a holiday should be. Breakfasts are excellent, and Julian was fantastic—so friendly and attentive. He even remembered us from 2019, which made our mornings feel all the more special. The grounds and hotel are always immaculately maintained, and we also really enjoyed using the mini gym and pool table. Maybe a few weights in the gym would be beneficial. The Magic Hotel continues to live up to its name—a truly magical place that feels like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return again!

What a lovely hotel, certainly worthy of 4 star rating. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, attended to our every need including sorting hire car, getting luggage up and down the many steps from the room at the top which was really clean and serviced daily. Balcony view was one of the best over the bay. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful choice of anything that you could wish for, even omelettes and scrambled eggs if you asked. The restaurant was equally good in the evening, we ate there twice as its namesake “the view” is enviable. The menu was a little different to the traditional Greek offerings from the local tervernas so made it something different. Special thanks to Julian and Jimmy in the restaurant whose service and smile made us feel very welcome, their attention to detail was second to none. The many steps to the rooms could be a challenge to those with mobility issues but this goes with most of the hotels on Skiathos as they are built on the hillside not just this hotel. This was our third visit to this wonderful hotel. Monica and the other staff are so friendly and welcoming. Bedrooms are immaculately clean. Maid service daily with clean towels/bedding. Free beach towels are available to borrow. Julian in the breakfast room has a fabulous personality and always made us laugh. The hotel is in a great position near bus stop 16. Lots of restaurants in Aghia Paraskevi. We will definitely be back!

Just returned home from a week at the lovely magic hotel. This is our second visit to the hotel and it’s as great as ever. The rooms are clean and comfy, the restaurant called the view is first class, breakfast is wonderful, in fact the perfect hotel. Near to amenities and plenty of restaurants also bus stop 16 a 2 minute walk away, can’t fault it. Staff are truly the best, Christina on reception, jimmy and Julian in the restaurant and Ever at the pool bar were all first class. Monica is also lovely and calls all guests by name to give that personal feel. Sorry to leave but hope to return… Sue & Rob B
