Skiathos Living

After reading previous reviews was dubious about staying here after already booking BUT just shows to not believe everything you read. Loved our stay here rooms are really generous with plenty of storage,spotless clean maybe bathrooms are a bit dated but won’t ruin your holiday. The steps leading up probably aren’t ideal for everyone but are manageable for most and make it worth it when you see the views from the balcony’s and rooftop pool. The location was the winner for us 2 minute walk from bus stop 0 and 5 minutes to the town. Will definitely come back here and highly recommend.

Don't be put off by some comments, this is a 3 star property because it lacks facilities such as restaurant bar etc... what you do get is an amazing location literally 3 min walk to the port. Fantastic views from your balconies including the planes coming into land, and no it isn't loud at all, its surreal. Very clean accommodation with very good aircon. Yes the bathrooms could be more luxurious but then the price point would be significantly higher. You get a fridge and a kettle with some basic kitchen bits and bobs and there is a supermarket literally 2 ins away. A big thank you to Isabella and the rest of the staff for making our first visit to Skiathos just perfect. Yes there are 46 steps up to reception, but if you call them on arrival they will assist with your luggage. Lastly, if you have looked at pictures posted on here and noticed the very poor looking pool cushions, don't worry, as we left they had just had new ones delivered. Staying in Skiathos town in our view is the perfect option, as you then have the bars/restaurants and shops on tap in the evening, and you can go and venture out during the day and explore the various beaches.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Skiathos Living. Clean, comfortable and cool …. If a little lacking in bedroom storage for bedroom 2 which also had no AC. Having said that the staff were immediately helpful and brought me a portable unit which worked perfectly well for the duration of our 3 night stay. We stayed in the two bedroom/2 bathroom apartment 106. It also has two balconies. Perfect. The kitchenette wasn’t terribly well appointed but in all honesty we only needed two mugs for our morning tea and some plates for our very generous breakfast, a huge tray, hand delivered to our room at our chosen time each morning. We loved the fact that it is located a little way up from town so it was quiet for sleeping. And the steps were a good way of walking off our dinner Pool area is lovely. The staff were all absolutely charming and we’re definitely going to book for this time next year!

Awful tired hotel that is more like apartments , no bar or restaurant . Stained beds , badly lit bathroom , terrible shower , about 100 steps up to reception ( rarely attended) Never again !! Tui not interested offered £100 holiday voucher or £100 cash then closed case ! Stated in write up cabanas around pool relax and order a drink ?? Where from ? No bar !

We stayed at Skiathos living September 2023.We had a loft suite with sea view.The room was very clean and spacious, with a lovely view of the harbour. However the furniture was tired and grubby with a hole in the sofa arm. The bathroom had very poor lighting and the boiler was leeking across the floor. When we reprted this , the staff acted on it straight away. They had the water turned off,and offered us a downstairs room to shower in . A new boiler was installed the next day. As there is no dining facility, breakfast was dilivered to our room. It was more than ample and varied each day.It was a shame there was no toaster or microwave, just two small hot plates and a kettle. The kitchen was quite large, but very sparce cooking utensils. So if you wanted to cook something, you would be very limited. Our biggest disappointment was the pool area.It was not maintained. The pool had green algae around the rym. The sunbeds looked nothing like the picture advertising the hotel. They may have looked nice once,but they are now stained and filthy. Also the small poolside tables are rusty. It is a shame we can not recomend Skiathos living because it is well situated, just five minutes walk to the town and bus station. The staff were helpful, but it is not a four star accommodation , only a three .It is not good value,definately not luxury. We expected better.

This was our second time here. Five years ago under previous owners it was a little more luxurious. We had this time the loft suite. We are now in our 60s and struggled with both the steps up from the road (no porter after 8.00pm but young lady at reception did help with one suite case). The loft ladder in suite was also a challenge and we were glad we did have an accident falling. Sofa - dated, stained and covered. No waiter or bar in complex. It's a good location though , 100 yards from old port the reason for only 3 out of 5 was vfm. We met a family of four that only paid £1600 in good 3 star. We paid for two £2400 for a week. It's not luxury by any stretch but clean . Would we go again?..... Skiathos yes, appartment no.
