The Tree

The room is beautiful as are the amenities, however regardless of earplugs. It is the most crazy place to put a hotel. The noise level is completely unacceptable and there is no way I could consider staying there again regardless of cost. It is 3am before you can go to sleep

We ( my husband, my 2.5 year old and myself) stayed at The Tree for one night, we have been staying on a neighbouring island and decided to travel to skiathos a day before our flight so we could all get a good night sleep and not travel early. We stayed in the superior suite the double bed mattress was new and comfortable and the apartment was clean except for the shower / bathroom which contained hair and an iffy smell. There was some marks on a couple of the pillows so we chose not to use those ones. The room itself is modern and nicely presented. You got free bottles of wine and water, shampoo etc. but I am glad I only stayed one night as we all got absolutely NO sleep at all The Gin bar below played incredibly loud music until 3-4am people were shouting, I don’t actually understand how anyone could hear anyone talk at the bar! then at 6am there was loud banging! While the hotel must be aware as they provide ear plugs, this is no use for a 2 year old, for this reason I would never stay here again. We are EXHAUSTED!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY. We arrived in "The Tree" and the air conditioning in the room was not working. In fact our rooms were furnaces. We called the owner, who mockingly told us he would call a technician while we were out for dinner. We came back and the room was even hotter than before and the air conditioner was still broken. Nobody answers our calls and we can't sleep in the room. In the middle of July this is not possible. We had to take a mattress to a different room and sleep on the floor.

Overall, we really enjoyed staying at The Tree for just shy of 14 nights in September 2023, it’s prime location to all that the Skiathos Town has to offer is both good and not so good. The good is that The Tree was easy to book online via *******, upon arrival we were warmly greeted and quickly shown to the Penthouse apartment. Dimitri and his team couldn’t have been more helpful. The Penthouse apartment was bright, modern, clean and generally well equipped. Outside there is a spacious seating area with great views over The Old Port and The Bourtzi. A great place to chill out at the end of a long day at the beach and after dinner drinks till late. The not so good aspect is the noise from the nearby port bars until late. Don’t know why the local bars feel the need to or are even allowed to bang out loud music at levels better suited to a concert stadium until the early hours? Fortunately, The Tree’s rooms are fitted with double glazing to help with a more peaceful sleep. All things considered we’d be more than happy to stay again.

Abbiamo soggiornato 1 notte e, nonostante la camera pulita e abbastanza curata e i tappi per le orecchie offerti dall’albergo, è risultato impossibile dormire a causa della musica ad alto volume dei locali sottostanti. Sembra di stare all’interno di una discoteca.
