Everything was good

Amazing hotel. We are in a swim up room, and it has been perfect. Few niggles with the room as I think we are the first ever guests to stay in it, however they were all sorted out quickly. The service is excellent, the staff are all very friendly. We are here on a bed and breakfast tariff, and the breakfast has been great. I wouldn't bother with evening meals or lunch, there are so many nice tavernas around that do fantastic food, as tourists we need to keep them in business.

We’ve just returned from a two week stay. Amazing hotel for cleanliness and really comfortable beds, good size rooms that are well equipped, although our shower was a little snug. But not all the rooms had such a small shower. But pressure and temperature good so done what it needed to, someone larger may have struggled to shower and keep the door closed. lol. On entertainment nights the quality was really good. Sun beds plentiful and comfortable. Amazing choice for breakfast and you can ask for other options. IE different types of egg. Or tea, coffee. The only negative for us was that the temperature of the evening meal wasn’t good unless you were eating fresh from the barbecue. Not the fault of the staff. Lunch time offerings plentiful and really good value for money. The staff currently at this hotel are the best. From receptionist Foteini, Christina and Aphrodite just to name a few.( the Kitkat trio) Andy is a really nice guy and a great barman, with Uncle Sam also on the bar, there just perfect. PS Sam is also a renowned performer. And may treat you to a performance. Amazing. Anna, Maria and her Sister Spyla are simply beautiful people that go above and beyond and make you feel so welcome, always greet everyone with a smile. Sorry for not mentioning everyone on the team, you’re all fantastic. Mr Fransi is an excellent food and beverage manager and always willing to assist. Overall we had a fantastic time at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday experience. A big thank you to everyone that made our stay so memorable. Hotel - the hotel itself is nice and clean. The pool area is spotless. We had a swim up suite and I cannot fault the room, the pool or the staff in this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and our room - if it wasn’t for the swim up room we opted for, we don’t feel this hotel would have been for us. The staff are so friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a hotel and the gentlemen who works on reception through the night is great. When we arrived he helped us to our room and explained where to go in the area and the things we should see during our visit - very informative! We also went half board but the restaurants in Sissi are so incredible we didn’t use the hotel dinner so i cannot give an opinion on this. The all day snacks around the pool are nice though. Decent drinks prices and not much more expensive than other places in the village. Shop next door so you can get snacks and drinks for your room or they do offer a menu so you can have your mini bar stocked but this was around €2.50 per drink whereas the shop next door was obviously cheaper. They do offer room service until 11pm and as we arrived at 1am they had a sandwich, fruit and a pastry waiting for us on arrival which is always appreciated. Negatives (and yes they are minor but I want to give honest feedback): Breakfast - for a 5* hotel I don’t think the breakfast was very good. Toast, eggs and Greek yoghurt was the best of a bad selection. For half of our stay we chose to eat out as the food was better elsewhere. Biggest negative - the late check out facilities. We asked if we could keep our room on and we couldn’t but they explained showers / changing facilities are provided and that was fine until we saw the facilities. They smell horrendous, no loo roll in the toilet, everyone else’s leftover bottles of shampoo and shower gel etc all over the floor. Floor was soaking wet, the light doesn’t stay on so you can end up showering in the dark but most bizarre of all, they don’t have locks on the doors. I wouldn’t have minded paying to have an actual room for the day, sadly the hotel was full but these late check our facilities really are subpar for the standard of this hotel! They also offer things like a turndown service and water in the minibar everyday which they don’t actually provide, again not a big issue. Oh church starts Sundays at 530am so embrace the wake up call, it lasts until about 10 and it is LOUD!

We had 10 great days here. Booked a junior suite with private a pool, more than enough room for a couple. Bed was so comfortable that we had no trouble sleeping and the air conditioning was perfect and pretty quiet. The small fridge was handy for water and wine. Breakfast was a choice of hot and cold buffet, all to a high standard. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening as we had already planned to eat at the numerous restaurants around sissi. Bar snacks during the day are available and quite plentiful. As with previous reviews, what makes this hotel a pleasure to stay at is the staff. The ladies on reception always smiling, the breakfast/restaurant and bar staff, the cleaner. Special mentions to Spyla who looked after us at breakfast with a smile, Maria who seemed to work everywhere and served the best iced coffee and Sam head barman who served us up plenty of cocktails as we worked our way through the menu (Yamas). My partner had a deep tissue massage at the spa which she said was wonderful and made such a difference to the tension in her shoulders thanks to Fotoyla and comes highly recommended if you stay here. We were sad to leave mostly because we felt like we were leaving friends behind, but we will most certainly be back in 2025. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. John & Amanda room 103.

A really great, well managed establishment. The rooms were spacious and clean. Everywhere is so easy to walk to. Some good evening entertainment at the bar during our stay. And even with a church (complete with bells!!!) right outside our window nothing spoiled our stay in this beautiful hotel. If you go be sure and visit the beach along Kalimera Kriti... only a 15 min walk. And have a cold beer in The Cactus Pub. However, the real USP of this place is the staff. They are all really friendly, helpful and more than happy to help. Super, super nice people. If I can I will return to this hotel one day... preferably soon.

And so our second stay is drawing to an end. It is rare for us to go to the same place twice so will we make it a third time? I really hope so! As before and the reason we have returned is down to not only the fantastic hotel in a great location but also the fantastic staff. Yes the hotel is spotlessly clean, the facilities are excellent and beautiful and the food is to an extremely high standard but our real thanks are to the staff, all of them and with a special mention to Jordan, Maria and Spyla. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay so wonderful, you ALL make us feel really welcome, I expect we will return!

This was our 4th visit to Castello Boutique Hotel and Spa, we always visit early May to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary (48 yrs this time!)and we got a wonderful welcome from all the staff on arrival with a nice cool refreshing drink in reception and an invitation to join them on Easter Sunday for the Easter Feast. When we were shown to our room, we were amazed to find rose petals everywhere and a towel sculpture of two swans kissing on the bed! There was also a platter of fresh fruit, a bottle of wine, sweet pastry’s and a mini bottle of raki plus information on the hotel and spa. It was a lovely surprise. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful swimming pool. The bathroom was fantastic with 2 washbasins and a huge double shower with constant hot water and we also had very efficient air conditioning, which we were very glad to have on hot days. The cleaning ladies were fantastic, even though we were late risers, they came in each day, changed the bedding and towels and left the room looking beautiful, so nice to come back to. All the staff at Castello Boutique Hotel are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot comment on the food as we ate out at the many lovely tavernas in Sissi and we never got up in time for breakfast. We did join in the Easter Feast which was buffet food and an amazing display of traditional Greek Dancing which we really enjoyed watching. This is a great hotel for couples who like peace and quiet and really good facilities with friendly staff and management.

My partner and I stayed here for five days. At first, I was a little apprehensive as it was my first time in Greece, but also on a full board arrangement in a hotel. I'm a vegetarian so I wasn't sure if I'd be stuck for food options. However, our stay was beautiful, from start to end. Every single staff member we came across was super friendly and kind. Huge shout out to Spyla in the restaurant. On day one, I explained that I'm a vegetarian and she remembered this every day, ensuring I was aware of all the vegetarian options and even remembered how we like our coffee every morning, so it was ready when we sat down. Also have to mention that Andreas at the bar makes the best cocktails. We absolutely loved the bar area and it was so relaxing to chill out with cocktails and good music! We stayed in a room with a private pool. The pool was a bit too cold for my liking but that didn't bother me, due to the time of year we went. We didn't expect a warm pool. The cleaners were so kind and friendly too, always smiling and patient with us on the days we left our room later than usual. There were a few improvements I'd suggest. Maybe some facial tissues in the bathroom, also more accurate timings shown the app (as the bar actually closes early in off peak season but this wasn't reflected on the app). Although the lighting in the bathroom was fine, there was no light in the actual shower so it was a bit dark when showering. However, we have decided we will definitely be back and we'll stay at the Castello Boutique again. It's the perfect location, peaceful and offers amazing service to accommodate our needs. Have to add, I'm a huge cat lover and I adored all of the hotel cats too. They are looked after by staff and some hotel guests too. We even gave them names as they were so friendly and cute. It was so lovely to meet other guests who adored the cats too. Thank you for an amazing stay, we look forward to returning!
