The rooms are tiny. There is barely enough room to open our suitcases. One drawer. No tissues ( but you can request them). Hardly enough room for 2 people. Bathroom has limited counter space near the sink. Overall very cramped. Location is a 20 euro cab ride from most restaurants.Gym is good. Breakfast was fine.

This was my second stay at UNAHOTELS One Siracusa. My first stay was pleasant enough and I enjoyed the roof top honesty bar immensely. During my last stay (July 2024), I noticed they had a spa but did not have time to try it but this time I decided to spend a great deal of money to relay in the spa. The biggest draw for me was the large hot tub advertised, and I was looking forward to a long soak. The cost was 40 euros per person, which is quite a lot for Sicily. The hot tub was well-below body temperature, not hot at all. This meant that it was not a nice hot relaxing soak, but instead made you quite cold after a few minutes. The steam room was ok, and at least the sauna was hot, but they should really be clear in advance that the hot tub was a cold tub as that was the only reason I booked the spa (and spent 80 euro for two people). We left the spa after about 25 minutes because the hot tub was so cold. That night I called the front desk to ask about room service. They instructed me to use the App for room service, which features a Robot named Leonard who brings you the pizza in your room. While this may sound fun, Leonard is a bad robot. Full disclosure, while enjoying the roof top bar during my last stay at this hotel, I watched Leonard the Robot attempt to deliver pizza to another guest for about 30 minutes. The robot went to the elevator, back down to the lobby, and to the roof top bar over and over again, which at the time was just hilarious but also creepy because I had no idea what this robot was doing. During my stay in November of 2024, I was therefore skeptical about Leonard's abilities. I should have trusted my intuition, but as the staff member at the front desk told me I have to use the App, there was no other way to order room service apart from trusting in this shady robot. Sure enough, an hour and a half later, starving in my room, I finally went to speak with the front desk and they said that the App wasnt working anymore. It was really annoying as I had asked if I could just order room service over the phone, but they had insisted on their guests using the App. Really frustrating! In the end we went out for pizza takeaway which meant that I ended up eating dinner a full 2.5 hours after ordering pizza on the Robot deliver system. BAD ROBOT! The next morning at breakfast they offer several hot options like scrambled eggs, bacon, omelettes etc. When mine arrived it was very cold and the cheese inside was not melted. At least when I asked them to heat it up they made me a fresh one, but it was annoying as I had waited for the omelette for 20 minutes for it to arrive very cold. Probably the worst part was at check out they tired to charge me for the pizzas that never arrived! I was very clear with the staff that having to wait for over an hour for room service that never materialised was bad enough, but them not making any kind of note in my file to clarify that the pizzas had never been delivered, and that I should be offered an ap

Of course, as with any advanced technology, occasional issues can arise, but we are continuously working to improve him. Calling him a "bad robot" seems unfair, considering the many positive feedbacks we receive from our guests. As for the spa, we want to clarify that it is a comprehensive wellness experience, including a steam cave, sauna, emotional showers, Kneipp path, a relaxation area with herbal teas, and, of course, the hot tub, which is only a small part of the overall experience. The tub's temperature is set to 32°C, ideal for this type of wellness journey designed for relaxation and well-being, not for a simple "hot bath." If your goal was a private hot bath, you could have opted for one of our Junior Suites with a tub, designed specifically for an intimate and relaxation experience. Lastly, we apologize for the malfunction of the room service App. However, the reported waiting time of "2.5 hours" seems significantly exaggerated. Nevertheless, we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Stayed here for only one night with a tour group. The room sizes vary as we found out from small which we had to a round/heart bed to a large room. The breakfast was good and there is a free complimentary bottle of water in the room too. They have. a roof top bar/lounge area where you are on the honor system to enter your room number when you get a drink. We had fun up there!

The room was comfortable, good beds and pillows, nice walk out balcony, the bathroom set up was a bit awkward, none the less we were happy with our room. The one thing I would suggest is that this hotel replace the rugs in the hallways and the stairway, the carpets are not pleasant to look at, very dirty and stained. The hotel itself is a bit out of the centre of the city, not really walkable so be prepared to bus or taxi into Ortigia. Their breakfasts are amazing, large selection and good variety of fresh food. We also had dinner at the hotel on our last night and it was Superb! One of the best meals we had overall. We would recommend this hotel if you don’t mind being a bit out of the way.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to both Syracusa and Otigia. We drove from Catania airport to the hotel, which took around an hour. Even using Sat nav, it was extremely difficult to locate! The hotel is located in a residential area with its car park with almost no places locally to eat or drink. However we did find an extremely Japanese restaurant on our last day. The room we had was very clean and breakfast was also very good. The hotel has almost no atmosphere in the evenings but an honest bar.

Good hotel, the staff is very nice and helpful. The room was a little small but the bed was very comfortable Breakfast is wonderful The music that was playing in the backround was too loud and unpleasent especially during breakfast in the dining room

Location, location, location! If you are staying here to visit Siracusa / Ortiga Island, look elsewhere. This is a 35 min walk through a bad neighborhood. And trying to catch a cab late night is a challenge to say the least. Spend a few extra bucks and stay on or near the island. Some of the staff were friendly but the guy that checked us out at 5:45 am was extremely rude and didn’t seem to know what he was doing.

The rooms are comfortable and neat. The breakfast spread is delicious and they make eggs to order. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location is quite close to main attractions if you drive. Ortigia is a brisk 30 minute walk. Since we visited in DEC, it was off season and we did not find many taxi’s.

This hotel is one of the best , nice clean rooms , food is delicious, spa very nice, what complete this hotel is the staff , they are very all helpful, won’t name anyone as they are all very helpful and very kind .kids are very welcome in this hotel too .

We stayed at Unahotels One in Siracusa from May 22 to 24, 2022. We had a Smartbox voucher which we redeemed. A standard double room including breakfast. The check in and out is smooth and was very good organized. The hotel is located outside the beautiful historic part of Siracusa. About 7-10 min by car. Cab costs about 15 euros. Not recommended on foot. My first impression was good. However, the One does not meet the standards of a 4star plus hotel by far. For my taste rather a 3 star plus to max. a 4 star hotel. Positive are the very friendly, helpful and upbeat hotel staff. They can always give you a tip. The double room is rather small. It has everything you need. The bathroom is a bit small. When showering, the whole bathroom gets wet because the partition only covers half of it and there is no door. Unfortunately, I must mention here that the cleaning is insufficient. Likewise, the toilet paper made from recycled paper is not really usable. The breakfast is ok. Unfortunately, we were not told that we had to order everything (cheese, ham or salami, etc.) On the 2nd morning we could make up for this. Scrambled eggs, omelet or tomato mozzarella salad is no problem. Coffee is very good. Freshly squeezed orange juice available. The One has a great roof terrace, is set up lounge-like. Unfortunately, the bar is not served and there is no music playing. So there is no atmosphere and the terrace is not really used. We can only conditionally recommend the Unahotels One Siracusa.
