Main Street Inn

Great hospitality! Wonderful food! Relaxing, charming room and loved the jacuzzi! Kathy and Jason are easy to talk to and very informative. Beautiful and clean place! We travel alot and felt the hospitality exceeded any 5 star place we have stayed at. We would stay again and try the other room.

Delightfully charming. Husband/wife architects lovingly run the property and no detail is overlooked. Appreciated Karen's suggestions for local historic places to visit / eat. Welcome change from big chain hotels. Will definitely stay there again.

Very enjoyable and what we love was a BIG bonus for an overnight stay at a B&B. Nice and quiet. We stayed for one night to celebrate our anniversary. Very delighted with the room and the adjoining bathroom. The breakfast was very nice. It was a homemade dish. I am not sure what was in it, being a guy and all, I just know it was good stuff. When in the area again, my wife and I plan to stay again.

We stayed at the Main Street Inn over the Christmas holiday to be near our family living/gathering in Parkville. It was very comfortable and convenient. The breakfasts each morning were really good and the coffee and tea in our room prior to breakfast was a nice way to start our busy days. The inn is very comfortable and the owners have done a great job of preserving the historical integrity of the home while offering modern conveniences. We probably didn't take full advantage, as it would be a great place to come and go while exploring all that Parkville has to offer, but we were with family all day every day. It was the perfect place to lay our heads at the end of full days with family.

The Main Street Inn is the cutest bed and breakfast!! My husband and I went down for an 18th anniversary celebration over a weekend. Kathy is an AMAZING cook and hostess!! We stayed in the Missouri River Suite and it was ADORABLE. The food was so good and the attention to detail was what really made the difference. She had LED candles for our use, a snack and beverage station outside of our room for free (wine could be purchased.) She had just decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. They have fire pits out front where you can sit and relax. I would highly recommend this for couples. Parkville is the cutest little town with antique shops and a yummy romantic French restaurant called Cafe des Amis. It is only 15 minutes from downtown KC. If you are looking for a romantic getaway around Kansas City, 100% you have to go here!!!

Oh my goodness, where do I even start?!?! We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Main Street Inn! My husband and I got married at the Hawthorne House and decided to stay here on our wedding night and the following night - best decision ever! The bed & breakfast was so clean and well decorated. We stayed in the Missouri River Suite and our room was incredible! We were so impressed with the attention to detail that clearly showed in the room environment. The community snack/coffee bar was also amazing - we appreciated this because it made us feel right at home! Our favorite aspect of our stay was definitely the homemade breakfast! The breakfast that was served was hands-down the best breakfast I have ever had. It was seriously amazing!! You could really tell how much thought and care went into preparing the meal. I am so glad we decided to stay two nights so we could have the breakfast again!! On top of all of this, the service was top notch! Kathy was a wonderful host - she was so warm and inviting! She made a point to come out and say hello to us, which we really appreciated. Overall, we can't say enough great things about the Main Street Inn! Thank you, thank you, thank you for exceeding our expectations!! We would highly recommend the Main Street Inn to any couples looking for a place to stay on their wedding night, or even just a weekend getaway. We have already decided that we want to come back for our one year anniversary, and we can't wait!!
