La Villa

We stayed at this hotel as part of an organized biking trip so the hotel was selected by the tour company. It's a beautiful hotel located in a nice area of Siena. Our room was very nicely appointed and very bright, with a large enough bathroom but a tiny tiny shower. The bikes were stored under lock and key but the storage area was much too small for the number of bikes in it which made it almost impossible to reach the charging station. The grounds are lovely with multiple sitting areas and, despite being in a somewhat busy area, offered an oasis after a day of biking. Breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated room (outdoor seating is also available weather permitting) and was plentiful, varied and delicious. It was an easy walk to restaurant and shops. Would stay again.

We have just spent three nights here while exploring stunning Siena. This beautiful characterful hotel is situated in a quiet, leafy, safe area of the city and yet amazingly only a ten minute walk to the historic centre. Our room was small but functional. The shower room felt a bit tired and in need of an upgrade . Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We ate out in the beautiful garden when warm enough which was so lovely. We absolutely loved Siena and were more than happy with our chosen hotel. Highly recommend!

We booked 2 nights in a superior room followed by 3 in a suite ( suite wasn’t available for 5 nights) First 2 nights was room 303 ( perfect large room) then we were changed to suite 305 but the bathroom was much smaller so my wife wanted to move back to room 303 for the remaining 2 nights . Luckily it was still available and we were not charged the full 3 nights at the suite price ( they were within their right to do so) The superior room 303 was large enough , although it has a sloping ceiling on one side . The bed was super comfortable, aircon was set&forget and super quiet . Bathroom was very large with big vanity and a bidet too. Location is so close to town , only 5 mins walk to edge of town . All day free street parking is plentiful and we always find a spot right by the hotel doesn’t matter what time of the day . Indoor / outdoor breakfast room is beautiful and serene , so is the garden!! Finally they also didn’t pre charge your credit card etc . Pay at the hotel means pay at the hotel . Good old fashion service , love it !

What a great little hotel , very friendly staff, great room, with a comfortable bed and great shower. The breakfast was very good as well. It’s an easy 10 min walk to the Piazza del Campo and all of the main town area. Free parking outside the hotel.

Had a lovely stay at La Villa, a great base for just strolling into the city centre of this wonderful italian city. The hotel was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The San Giovani spa, which is part of the same hotel group, is simply glorious and transport can be arranged as part of a deal as it's based roughly half an hour away. It was so good we stayed for two days when the kind staff offered us to stay overnight to save the transfers which is harder to organise. Food and wine in Siena to die for and reasonably priced considering it's a very popular tourist spot. On reflection if you just want to see the city, a long weekend would suffice. You wont be disappointed.

This is an exceptionally beautiful and well- run hotel with amazing staff. We stayed there for two weeks while attending a course in Siena and got to know the hotel very well and we thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is a beautiful villa set on a tree lined street overlooking the walls of the Fortezza Medicea. It’s opposite a shady park with a fountain and there are several restaurants/cafés nearby, along with a bank, chemist, gelateria and supermarket. It’s a short walk to Piazza san Domenico and the many restaurants and shops on the streets that lead into the centre of Siena (about a 5 minute walk from the piazza). The hotel is extremely comfortable with well furnished, airy rooms, good beds, well designed bathrooms with good, powerful showers. A lot of thought has gone into the setting of the air conditioning which is set just right. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day. The hotel is quiet. The other guests were mainly couples or small family groups and the rooms are very well soundproofed. There is a pretty garden with lots of seating. It gets the shade in the morning so it’s nice to sit outside to have breakfast. The breakfast is very good – a mix of specially cooked savoury dishes and pastries, great home -made cakes along with cheeses, fruits and salad, olives, good bread and croissant, great coffee and fruit juices. The spa at the sister hotel in Rapolano is amazing – 6 natural spa pools of varying temperatures, the coolest is an infinity pool overlooking Tuscan hills. The staff at the hotel are exceptional. They are highly efficient and professional and very kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. They gave the hotel a really good feel and made it a very enjoyable, relaxing place to stay. They really added to the experience of our time in Siena. We would definitely want to book this hotel as our first choice of place to stay if we return to Siena again.
