I documented the events below. Given the events, the complaint was submitted to the Better Business Bureau. This should not be a 3-star hotel. As of July 14, 2023 I have not received resolution of this complaint. It is a matter of principle at this point. Comfort Inn & Suites by Radisson- Sidney, NE - Event Log June 10, 2023: My wife and I were traveling West with my in-laws, and stopped at this hotel as it had good overall rating on google, and it was a three-star hotel. Upon arrival the clerk, Andrea, was very nice and professional. Upon entering the room, it was immediately obvious the room had not been clean. The bed was not even made. I went back to Andrea who explained the room showed it had been clean in their computer system. Andrea was very apologetic and assigned me a new room on the first floor where they originally stated there were no rooms available. I received that room, and upon entering, saw the carpet looked as if it had not been vacuumed in a week. Additionally, the toilet had fecal matter around the edge and underneath the seat; there was no toilet paper in the room; no bath towels, and it was obvious from the cup rings on the night stands they had not been cleaned. The bed was made. Upon inspection the bed linens looked and smelled clean, but the top sheet had a half-dollar sized stain. Andrea, the front desk clerk, appeared to be working alone and was clearly very busy. My wife and I were tired, so we just stayed and volunteered to clean the room. Andrea handed me a rag and orange cleaner, and we cleaned the room. I went back to get toilet paper and bath towels, and noticed the manager was now there. Andrea mentioned she had to call the manager in to assist as she had gotten overly busy and become overwhelmed. Apparently, there was a large-scale event taking place. (Seemed like a bad staffing decision if there was a known event in town.) After speaking with the manager, I got two rolls of toilet paper for our room. They still looked busy, so I asked Renee for the vacuum and offered to vacuum our floors. The manager insisted they would vacuum the floors, and she had the lone clerk, Andrea, come to our room to vacuum. The manager was not impolite, but very short and direct… not a friendly tone. This was understandable, as she was dealing with a lot of issues after being called in. Andrea came to our room to vacuum, she was apologetic and polite, and stated that we should not have to go through this trouble. She finished vacuuming and left. I went back out to get bath towels. The manager had to go into the laundry room where I saw her take some towels off the table amongst other laundry, she folded it, and handed it to me. The towels were clean, but they were on the table crumpled like they have been dried for some time. (The folded towels she handed me were extremely wrinkled.) During the course of events, I filled in the manager about the things she was not aware of, and asked if they were short staffed. She said t
