Semoris Hotel

The worst hotel I ever stayed. They charged the air condition separately the housekeeping is every one week but you have to beg and they said it’s a buffet but it’s not true. I will not even give one star.

One word, Can i have! Saban Saban, he made the holiday, otherwise, apart from the lovely people we met in the hotel, (some exceptions who know who they are) I would not recommend going, i took my husband to Turkey for the first time and we felt like we were in Beirut. The cheapest drinks as changed by the manager, could not wait to go home, a real shame

The hotel is family run and you feel right at home. The hotel is in a fantastic location - close to lively bars, restaurants, banks, affordable convenience stores, and the beach. A huge perk of the Semoris is the free beach club. They have an affiliation with Sea Side Beach Club (a private beach spot with bar/restaurant and comfy sunbeds). Semoris offer free entrance to all who stay. Free return shuttle buses are ran throughout the day – although it is only a 20-mintue walk away. The pool side area is chilled, clean, and a sun-trap! I never struggled to get a sunbed, despite the hotel being fully booked up. The slide is super fun for children and adults alike. The hotel bar is relatively affordable, offering beers such as Efes, a range of spirits/cocktails, local wines, and ice creams/pool-side snacks. They allow you to open a tab and pay at your convenience. The breakfast includes a basic Turkish breakfast, and tea/coffee/bread at no additional cost. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning these items were at an additional cost – but this didn’t appear to be true during my stay. Plates and crockery were clean – I noticed no sanitary/hygiene issues as has been mentioned in previous reviews. There doesn’t seem to be an option to customize breakfast (it arrives as one set menu) – although I admit I didn’t ask to customize. But this didn’t bother me as it was inclusive and did the job. The trade-off is that the breakfast arrives to your table quickly, so you’re not waiting long if you wake up hungry! The rooms are basic – which is exactly what I expected for the fantastic price. Additional charges apply for air conditioning and safety deposit boxes – like most hotels – but the fees are not extortionate. The beds were comfortable. My only criticism of the room is the lack of a fridge – this would be useful to store water for during the night when the bar is closed. The shower in my room was faulty at first, but the management fixed this issue immediately (thanks!). Considering I spent little time in the room, I was completely satisfied with the room for my 10-day visit. It was a fantastic base! Overall, I would definitely stay at the Semoris in future & recommend to friends. The Semoris is an excellent base for solo travellers, couples, and families. This hotel is great value for money in a fantastic location surrounded by history and palm trees. You should not expect a luxury experience (of course, it is not within this price point). Nonetheless, you can expect a welcoming atmosphere and a comfortable stay.

So sad, this can only be described as a place to sleep and even then, an uncomfortable place to sleep. Such a shame, I'm sure it was a nice hotel previously. Website description really misrepresents this place. There's no gym that we saw, no flat screen TV, no tea/coffee making facilities. We opted for brekky included but chose after day 1 to spend money and eat elsewhere. There's no apparent attempt at cleanliness. Declined the hot potatoes with salami due to being vegetarian. It was taken away and brought back minus the meat with greasy meaty sauce still evident! There was no room cleaning service during our 7 days, we helped ourselves to towels and loo roll and emptied the bin. The shared areas were dirty, we saw uncovered bread stored in a room. We travel lots and don't look for luxury, but this was not just basic it was unsavoury. The beds had no under cover on, mattress was awful and honestly it was so disappointing. We found the pool quite OK, marred only by the really high cost of a beer! Also there is a very unsafe slide. The staff tried to be helpful but they are fighting a losing battle against complaints and the fault lies with whoever is managing this place. Seems to be no systems or focus on cleanliness /care/health and safety. There are no fridges in any rooms and you are told at check in you must not bring any food or drink to the rooms, notices say its due to covid which is rubbish! Also watch out for the 5% card charge added when paying bills, didn't happen anywhere else. Really hate writing negative reviews, but don't go there it's miserable. I hope some care can be invested in the place. We had a good holiday despite this hotel, we found the old town lovely, beach is lovely just look for a different hotel.

The hotel room was terrifically smelling of cats and the toilet was already dirty at the time of check in, a tv which is not working at all. I chosed this hotel based on people's reviews but honestly it was disgusting with no management at all. On the breakfast, staff asks about how many you are but actually on the website the had written it's a buffet breakfast, the dishes were absolutely disgusting smelling of cats every single day, I even don't how the hell they wash those dishes so there are a lot manipulative statements about their hotel just to trap people. The room service for cleaning is every 2 days However I had to beg them every 2 days to clean my room the bathroom. I wouldn't suggest this hotel never ever to anyone at all.

For the price I paid I was really happy with the excellent service from this hotel. It was lovely to sit down together for meals with the small family that runs the hotel with good cheer and genuine positivity. I felt safe, sound and able to enjoy my holiday with little stress and worry. The staff are helpful, authentic and kind. Its a 20 minute walk to the beach, but out of the way of the bustle. Quiet and peaceful, great value, somewhere to make wonderful memories
