As per usual, the staff are brilliant, the rooms are spotless and in our case being in one of the superior top floor rooms, perfect. Premier Inn should be proud of the staff working here, they’re a true credit to you. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the town.

My wife and I regularly stay at Premier Inns and would love to regularly have breakfast but wherever we go the same problems of hot buffet items which are nowhere near hot enough and my favourite black pudding is ALWAYS soggy and sitting in a tray of fat! It's not rocket science so why can't they get it right??? For these reasons we will not risk the evening meal option, which is disappointing as staff are lovely and very helpful, and as we usually visit in winter, we would rather not have to go out for food on a cold winter night.

This Hotel was very clean and staff were very polite room was comfy and clean but, unfortunately we had a couple of issues One being the heating we couldn't control it from the room we had to go down to reception and ask them to set it at 24 and then in the evening we had to turn it off again to sleep cooler we couldn't switch air conditioning on. The second issue was the TV apparently it's set at hospitality value being a premier inn and it would not go to a decent volume to enable us to hear . We spoke to the management and they gave us a code to override this but it didn't work so we called reception again and a deputy manager came to help but she was unable to override it .we spent 2 days without being able to hear the tv . This spoilt our stay. We have since contacted premier inn guest service and they said in their view the setting is adequate and refused to offer any compensation or indeed address future issues with the setting of the volume. We went on the Internet and there seems to be a lot of people who have had the same issues with premier inn hotels. It's a shame because the hotel itself and staff and rooms were good.

Individual room temperature is controlled centrally and set to 24deg no matter what you “set” your preferred temp setting. Upon asking reception what’s going on I was informed most people want 24deg. Well what’s the point of individual room temperature settings if it’s all for show and set at what reception decides a
