Ogawa Ryokan anmeldelser

This ryokan exceeded all our expectations and was considerably better than one we booked at more than double the price at Hakone (albeit without in-room meal options). Can confidently say that this was the best value accomodation of our fortnight traveling around Japan. Arrival had a bit of a hostel-like vibe with friendly young staff and bikes for hire, whilst the well-kept modernised room felt like a modern Airbnb in many ways (e.g. large flat screen TV). Didn't expect two onsen tubs inside the hotel, both of which can be locked for the specific purpose of allowing guests to have a private bath (on a 'first-come-first-serve but consider other folk' basis). Location easily walkable from the train/bus station even with luggage, and situated nicely near end of esplanade. Would make a point of returning to this area and this specific ryokan if I return to Japan.
