Hotel Willow Banks - Boutique 4 Star Hotel on the Mall Road Shimla

I had a lovely stay here! The view from the room was really beautiful — perfect to unwind and enjoy the moment. The bar had a great atmosphere, and I truly enjoyed a cold beer there after a long day. The room had a nice, authentic feel to it, and soaking in the bathtub was the perfect way to relax. Overall, it was a peaceful and refreshing stay. Would love to come back!

We stayed here for three nights in a premium room with balcony. It is very conveniently located on the mall road and at a comfortable walking distance from the ridge, around which are all the happening things of Shimla. The hotel is on a busy road, very easily accessible from the Tourism Lift, but once we were inside, it was quiet and peaceful. The room heating was pretty good. The complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent. We also tried their restaurant Eighteen71 for lunch and dinner, and the food was good. The staff are helpful and nice. Mr. Sanjay Sharma, the manager of the hotel, was very helpful right from the time we booked our hotel (directly from their website), till the time we reached there (arranging for a porter to meet us at the Parking Lot on arrival etc) and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. They also have a Travel Desk which arranges for local sightseeing and airport transfers etc. Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting Shimla.

This was the worst hotel we stayed at in India! The room was not clean, we had to ask for the basic amenities like toilet paper. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned. The access to the hotel is very difficult and cars cannot approach the hotel. The breakfast was with a variety of food but the service was atrocious! They basically grunted at every request we made. There was a lot of street noise in the room at all hours. Overall a terrible experience!

Lovely staff, our twin room was good, excellent location. We ate here twice in the evening during our 3 night stay, loved the palek paneer which was made not too spicy. We were able to have an early breakfast before our departure which was lovely…..excellent Masala tea!

This was my favorite hotel of my trip thru india! My friend and I stayed for two nights in January. Although it was not the most luxurious place we stayed, it was by far the most enjoyable.The service was beyond perfect, I drove the front desk staff crazy with all my annoying tech questions, but they were constantly helping me and gave us such good advice on everything. The rooms are great, lots of hot water, heaters, good beds and fantastic food with two great restaurants to choose from…I could have stayed longer. Shimla is a treat, go and stay with these folks, worth every rupee!

Great place of hospitality, excellent food . Rooms were spacious and special thanks to Mr Sanjay Sharma for his untiring hospitality. Location is excellent and staff was courteous. Buffet spread was good . Will definitely revisit to this property .
