Great hotel, great location and courteous staff and its the hotel is a heritage building. You can feel the history. Room comfort and food outlets are excellent. Breakfast is good with mix of indian and western choices. Restaurant too offers the mix at great taste. Ver helpful staff and front desk. The hotel is located right next to the famous mall road of Shimla, walking distance, many shopping and food outlets available ***** the road including branded shopping. The only down side is there is no vehicle access to the entrance of the hotel due local restriction, no vehicle road. One have to climb up 250m stairs, the hotel provides help to pick you luggage. Physically challenged and the elderly will find it challenging. There is option to use public electric lift 500m away and walk to the hotel.
I will certainly choose this hotel in the future if I am visiting Shimla.

This is a heritage hotel founded in 1886, in fact, the first hotel acquired by Oberoi group. The hospitality is among the best I have experienced. We took a spacious suit which gave us the feel of a British manor house room. The restaurant served awesome food especially when chef takes the time to explain and serve an authentic Himachali thali. The staffs here are a delight to talk to and they are ever ready to help. The service quality is impeccable and I cannot ask for more. Staying here has been an experience.

This is a delightful historic hotel ideal for exploring old town Shimla. As an Oberoi property, it may not be at the luxury level of others in the chain, but that also makes it reasonably priced. (And note this may change as hotel is currently closed for major renovation). I was so very impressed with the service: Hot water bottles are a delightful touch to warm the beds on winter nights there (something I have never been offered at other hotels); when my daughter experienced a racing heartrate from altitude sickness, they brought in a blood pressure test to check; and finally all staff seemed to remember our names flawlessly. The comfort food was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the property.

Excellent all round from arriving , staying , dining to departure. Very polite & pleasant all staff members at ALL times.Very personal too. The suite was perfect as was the minibar. Breakfast was perfect both in Indian cuisine and also continental foods.

Great view ,friendly staff and excellent service.The view of the mountain was also great.Buffet was also great.If you are a bird watcher then you can find many exotic bird species in the morning.all the inns are also very beautiful.Overall a good place to stay.

This historic hotel is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Shimla. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff very friendly and courteous, the food is excellent. Situated on the Mall, it is close to all the attractions of Shimla, but an oasis of calm and relaxation, It was lovely to watch the sun set, sipping drinks on the terrace.

Beautiful property,long time dream to stay in this .on our anniversary our kids gave us a surprise of oberoi Clarks.enjoyed the hotel. All staff members and Manager Samir Kaul were very nice and helpful in everyway.The dinning room staff Dhani Ram ,Puran,Mehar etc were so good in serving us and made us to taste every item of the menu.really enjoyed the place. Thanks the team Clarks.

Wonderful stay room was an excellent nice view and the room was deeply cleaned. I ordered room service and the food was very tasty. The restaurant staff was very helpful and the restaurant service was extraordinary. I am very happy with the food and service. My stay was impressive. Thank you so much hotel team my stay made memorable.💓🙏
