Le Griffon

This is the B&B experience that travellers look for. A well preserved older house with warm common areas, comfortable rooms, and a delicious breakfast in the heart of Shediac. Access to a common kitchen to store food, make coffee, etc is appreciated. The hosts are discrete, friendly, and knowledgeable.

This spot met all our expectations as an excellent bed and breakfast! Our room, with historic detail, was spacious and immaculate, with all amenities. Our bed was very comfortable and linens were soft and crisp. Our very generous hot breakfast was prepared fresh by our host, with lots of happy banter back and forth. The host’s restaurant just down the street was also a wonderful treat. Food and drinks were all excellent, while a very talented guitarist provided discreet but very enjoyable musical accompaniment! We travel regularly to PEI, and this will certainly be our place to stay (and to highly recommend to others!!) while passing through Shediac!

The building is as described and is exquisite. Although mature of age it has all modern attributes with a very comfortable bed and a nice shower. Everything was very clean. Although located on the corner of a Main Street the room was very quiet. In addition to the bedroom you have use of a kitchen and a relaxing siting room with very nice furniture. The breakfast was excellent and substantial cooked by the host. We had a very nice chat too. Overall an excellent experience. We also dined at their restaurant which was close by and had an excellent meal at a reasonable price. However, if you like board/ card games it could be a dangerous place as there are literally hundreds of games available - quite amazing.

Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and their restaurant down the street was amazing!!! I would recommend this if you are passing thru the town. The owners sister served us breakfast- it’s always nice to have cheerful conversation in the morning!

From arrival to departure, we fully enjoyed our stay at Le Griffon, and meeting our host and hostess Sebastien and Heather. It was a pleasure to receive a friendly greeting at check-in, assistance with our luggage, and a room we instantly found delightful. It was a blend of modern facilities and the charm of a historic 1898 home. Our air-conditioned unit had a bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed, on which we had great sleep. We also had a living room that blended the modern with the antiques. Our bathroom was well-equipped with amenities and modern facilities. Our breakfast was a delight prepared by Sebastien. A pleasant surprise was being able to choose what time we wanted our breakfast; 7:30, 8:30, or 9:30. We chose the latter and had the opportunity to share an interesting, informative, and humorous conversation with Sebastien. All in all, an enjoyable time. The check-out was equally efficient. LeGriffon is well worth the reasonable accommodation cost. An added bonus is their nearness to a beautiful sand beach. The combination added greatly to our 5-day visit to New Brunswick. A further bonus was dining at their nearby restaurant; La Moque-Torteu. A wonderful meal in a unique decor. Also, do not forget to go to Adorable Chocolat their pastry shop, and get some of Heather's croissants that are the best we have ever eaten. There are also lots of other goodies there! Chambre petite mais bien et ancien, c'est ce qui fait son charme. Un peu écho mais n'oublions pas que c'est une ancienne demeure avec tout son cachet. Notre hôtesse, Jacqueline, est vraiment une belle personne. Très bon déjeuner, crêpe fourrée avec fraises, petits fruits, yogourt, jus, café, thé. En plus, en bonus, nos compagnons de déjeuner pour de belles discussions et rires.
