We were originally booked into Naama Bay Hotel, after recent bad reviews we upgraded to Jollie Ville. Upon arrival we were offered a choice of two rooms, one near the restaurant main poo and beach and one across the road in the sports area, where there is also a pool. Saw first room near beach well it was absolutely appalling, picture grubby 1980s Spanish 2 star hotel. Thankfully the other room option was lovely although a golf buggy ride away. In 37 degrees it was too hot often to walk from the room to the beach. We arrived in time for dinner at the buffet, sadly there was no food left and we walked to get food outside the complex. Next morning went to breakfast, there was a breakfast buffet (only) near our room which was handy. Food was your average continental nothing appetising that was hot. Coffee was good thankfully. Pool in the sports area was lovely, we were the only people there, there is a swim up bar but this never opened. There was also a normal bar serving warm flat drinks. Pool then got drained day two and was only refilled on our penultimate day. Lunchtime went down to the buffet, it was very busy asked for a glass of wine got served warm white wine in a dirty glass. I must add at this point you can only get wine if you eat in the buffet, Lebanese or Italian. You cannot get wine in any of the bars, was pretty revolting anyway. All drinks were flat and warm, served in toddler size plastic cups throughout the day. The beach grill was our saving grace in the day where they served burgers chips and pizzas. The only good food in the evening was the Lebanese where the food was exceptional and the service too. I didn’t have a hot shower the whole time we were there. We got up at 5.30am to get a lounger on the beach as it was jam packed by breakfast. Beach was ok, sea and fish stunning. Spa staff relentlessly pestering you to book massages, worse than the beach vendors. Both our rooms safe stopped working mid way through the week and we had to wait an hour for someone to come out to fix. We were sold the hotel with a mini bar, turns out that is a fridge with bottled water in. Robes arrived on bathroom day 4. There was supposed to be British Tv channels on English speaking channel was Al Jazeera for news. I’ve creams available for one hour where there’s a massive rush of guests. I could go on and on. Naama bay wasn’t for me but that’s a matter of taste. Cocktails and food in Hard Rock was trageically a highlight. Farsha bar is a must at sunset but get there for 4.30ish. Quad biking was fun but, pushy vendors when we stopped for a break. My top tips: Love Holidays completely misold the hotel. Wizz air are crooks who charge £14 a minute to speak with customer service, which I had to.
