7daysabroad

To start with, we all found it frustrating not being in the D Club. Before booking the trip (7 days, All Inclusive Plus), we had no idea that we would be treated like second hand citizens, because we're not part of the D Club. The most annoying thing was going to the beach: you would see the lovely and comfy sunbeds, but you would only be allowed to stay on the shabby ones, on the other side. We found it even more frustrating as nobody could explain to us why we could not stay there (it was empty, there was nobody there). The staff found it very difficult to talk to us in English, so we had no idea why we were unable to stay there. Another thing was that there was a bar on the beach, like on the actual beach we stayed on, but it would not serve us water or anything. We had to go to the top bar to get drinks. No bottled water, but water poured in small coffee sized paper cups. This was, to say the least, a shameful sight for a 5 star all inclusive hotel. Imagine leaving your sunbed to go drink some water in the scorching sun, and the bartender giving you a small paper cup of water. This is shameful. Good side: we loved eating at the Stake House, Cleopatra dinner and SPA. Cats are everywhere, so if you don't like them, don't go to this resort. They will meow-meow at the door to let them in, they will follow you around and even sit on your chair if you're not vigilant enough. Keep in mind that rooms were not European 5 stars, but 5 African stars. They could have been better maintained. We stayed at Elisir. The outside pool was drained and closed.
