Shangri-La Impression Tianxuan Hotel (Shangri-La Napahai Branch)

Friendly staff but plenty that could be improved. We did have a good laugh at how different our experience was to our expectations of this place… The tent room is in the top floor and has a shower that floods the entire bathroom with every use. There is an elevator for luggage only so you have to climb the stairs. The pool is across from this room and the night we wanted to use it, it was lukewarm so my mother filled it manually with 15+ kettles of boiled water. In daylight you can see that it is filled with algae and mould. The surfaces around it are covered in dirt. The communal areas are clearly not cleaned either. Breakfast was horrendous with barely cooked vegetables and bread with no spreads. There were lots of covered pots as if there was food inside which led everyone to individually look inside to see that it was empty (my father eventually uncovered them so others didn’t have to go through the same disappointment). No milk for the coffee. If you need anything extra, the staff will be unable to help you e.g if something like the coffee runs out. In the end we brought our own pot noodles and jam for breakfast. Hot tub in the tent room is just a tub full of hot water - no jets. To see the view you must pull down a window which pokes into the hot tub. It gets quite bright in the bedrooms without curtains. Poor soundproofing but it’s quiet in the area except cockerels and yak bells. We appreciated the humidifiers as the air was super dry. Duvets were quite small for a double bed so got a bit cold sharing it. Fire by the hot tub didn’t work and the staff acted clueless about it. Vinyl player also broken. The hotel only has one key so don’t lose it and you’ll have to leave it if you want the room cleaned. We enjoyed the views and pool table. Staff were easygoing and tried their best. There are no restaurants nearby so we always went to dukezong by a 20 min Didi. Hopefully this helps to set your expectations appropriately. It was still an interesting and cheap stay.

Absolutely Perfect Stay in Shangri-La Impression Tianxuan Hotel (Shangri-La Napahai Branch) We had an amazing experience at this hotel.. Everything was beyond my expectations! The host was incredibly nice, warm, and super helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. The price was surprisingly affordable for what was offered, included breakfast. They provide free pickup from railway station. The room was beautiful and cozy, with a private jacuzzi right inside, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning view of Shangri-La. There’s also a spacious common area with a billiard table and a small pool, all with the same amazing view. It was such a great spot to chill out. Plus, they have Luna, the friendliest dog ever. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shangri-La. Would 100% stay here again!👍🏻

We got free pickup from railway station provide by the hotel... The room view amazing... definitely will come back again...

Cosy room and nice outside hot spring ! A bit far from the city, you’ll have to take taxi every time.

10 minutes drive from Shangri La train station. Really amazed with the view from the room, mountain, prairie and blue sky right in front of us!

Super stay! Really welcoming host, offered free drinks, local information, and even a late check-out. Surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. Within the room, the amenities we're great including an electric heating blanket, a/c, and a Japanese style electric toilet. Within the hotel there is a restaurant, pool table, and swimming area with a great view. Highly recommend.
