The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth arrival. When our driver declined to enter the ancient city area due to narrow, crowded roads, they kindly arranged to pick us up. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with fresh fruit and a soothing drink of warm milk infused with dried rose petals. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and well-equipped with thoughtful amenities such as underfloor heating, an oxygen supply system, smart toilet bowl, projector with large screwb and a humidifier to combat the dry climate. They did provide clothes washing machine with dryer function as well with no charges. Staff recommendations for local restaurants were spot-on, offering delicious dining options. They also provided convenient electric motorbike rentals (60 RMB/day), perfect for exploring 纳帕海 (Napahai), and arranged transportation to Shangri-La Train Station. The hotel’s location strikes an ideal balance: a short walk to the bustling ancient city center, yet nestled in a quiet area for peaceful rest. Overall, our stay was exceptional—excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended!

New hotel with full amenities. Location is great with only 5-10 mins walking to Guizhan park and the room was super clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only downside is that soap and shampoo were given in a small package.

Walking distance from everything in Shangri-La. Airport/ station pick-up or drop off, they can keep your luggage while you travel in the region, they are willing to help always and there is a terrace on the roof !

The receptionist kindly picked us up from the main road and guided us to the hotel, which is conveniently located within walking distance of halal restaurants and Balagezong town. We were delighted to receive one of the largest rooms available, and the experience was truly spectacular. The room featured a modern toilet and even had an oxygen machine available if needed. Instead of a TV, they provided a large projector, which was more than sufficient for our entertainment. They also have washing machine If you want to do your laundry. Their hospitality exceeded our expectations—they even provided free milk for our coffee, which was a thoughtful touch. Since our train departed at 16:30, we requested a late checkout, and the receptionist graciously accommodated our request. One of the best aspects of our stay was their complimentary pickup and drop-off service to the train station or airport, making our journey much more convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Extra points for the receptionists for their efforts to converse with us in English 😊😊

Very good location. A very short walking distance to ancient town & Yue Guang yin Xiang (many good mala restaurants ). Free to fetch us to and from railway 👍 Like the breakfast and goodnight milk very much !

If full rating is 5.0, I would give this hotel a 6.0! Room is well equipped, they even have an oxygen machine in the room if you needed to use due to mountain sickness. To my surprise, the floor is also heated so your feet don’t feel as cold as cement floor. The hotel also serves authentic roasted milk with rose flavor which you don’t wanna miss it! Will definitely stay here again if I were to visit Shangri-La again!

During happy to stay at this hotel and it was impress experience staff very warm to support and well prepare. We happy to travel in Shangri-La. The hotel is in the spot area and easily to travel by walking.

I loveeee the hotel. The staff was helpful. The location is a bit outside of the ancient town but it’s really near, walk about 5 mins. I loved my room, the heated toilet seat was a ++ for me. I would really recommended someone who visit Shangrila first time here 😊😊. The breakfast was cute as well!

The receptionists are helpful to our request. The response is quick. The ambience of the hotel is great. The room is spacious. Everything still feels new.

My best impression is they provided us a free warm pot of Rose Boil Milk(玫瑰烤奶), it tastes fragrance and delicious. The breakfasts provided is also healthy and balance in diet. Not to forget to mention auntie that prepare our breakfast is willing to serve my breakfast as early as 7:45AM and helped to pack another breakfast for my wife. Outside DuKeZong ancient city is 5 degree celcius at night, however, the room is well controlled within 25 degrees celcius, thus, we have a a good sleep. All facilities within room are well placed. The homestay managers, especially the lady is really friendly and helpful to pick up and send us back to Shangrila station, while the gentlemen is also helped to book our ticket to Potatso national park. Thank you very much to them and we really enjoy our short stay at the Shangrila.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Shangri-La! The location is perfect, just a short walk from the old town and Halal Restaurant which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. The environment was peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views and cozy rooms. A huge thank you to Zeyno, who made our stay even more special. It was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. With warm hospitality and local knowledge truly added a personal touch to our trip. Everything from the service to the comfort of the hotel exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shangri-La!

I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, great-value accommodation experience.

Very good service and help to carry luggages to the hostel from the main road. The owner is also very kind, who taught us how to use the amenities in the room, such as the oxygen concentrator, and brought us a pot of warm milk to keep us warm. Room was clean and spacious. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay over there.
