A great place to stay for your first time in China if you're arriving in to Shanghai. Very convenient on Line 2 from PVG airport, then a short walk from People's Square metro station. It's basically just off of the beginning of East Nanjing Road which makes sightseeing incredibly easy. From there, walk all the way down to The Bund while enjoying the chaos of this awesome street. There's a resident cat (didn't catch a name) but it's cute, fluffy and black and white! Plenty of toilets, showers, sinks per floor for the amount of being staying at the hostel. There's a chill space on 3f with a nice view over the street, good for reading, laptop work or quietly eating. Downstairs there's a big chill area and also a bar, in the evenings they seem to play movies on the projector too!
Bunks were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The curtains are blackout so it stays comfortable even in the daytime / if someone switches a light on. Large lockers per bed (free and accessed with a key card) so my stuff was always safe. Although after just a few days, I think it's safe to say China is extremely safe!
No kitchen for cooking but plenty of eateries about, China is very affordable for food and transport.
Hope this helps a fellow traveller, don't hesitate and book here!
There's also a 7-Eleven just across the street.
