Dayin International Youth Hostel（East Nanjing Road & The Bund）

Front desk staff during check in was not very friendly, was disturbed in the middle of the night by another guest who apparently was given the same room number as ours by the front desk which was a terrible mistake. Besides the relatively good location of this hotel, everything else is not really that great actually

Really..good stay experience. Even the room was quite small but you have everything you need. The ground floor has a cozy tap room. Hotel gave free admission voucher for free beer value 18 CNY. Reception staff (Shi, Lu and Long) did the great job.

A great place to stay for your first time in China if you're arriving in to Shanghai. Very convenient on Line 2 from PVG airport, then a short walk from People's Square metro station. It's basically just off of the beginning of East Nanjing Road which makes sightseeing incredibly easy. From there, walk all the way down to The Bund while enjoying the chaos of this awesome street. There's a resident cat (didn't catch a name) but it's cute, fluffy and black and white! Plenty of toilets, showers, sinks per floor for the amount of being staying at the hostel. There's a chill space on 3f with a nice view over the street, good for reading, laptop work or quietly eating. Downstairs there's a big chill area and also a bar, in the evenings they seem to play movies on the projector too! Bunks were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The curtains are blackout so it stays comfortable even in the daytime / if someone switches a light on. Large lockers per bed (free and accessed with a key card) so my stuff was always safe. Although after just a few days, I think it's safe to say China is extremely safe! No kitchen for cooking but plenty of eateries about, China is very affordable for food and transport. Hope this helps a fellow traveller, don't hesitate and book here! There's also a 7-Eleven just across the street.

Day Inn was a great place to stay for a few days! The dorms were clean and comfortable and had a large shared bathroom for the floor. The female bathroom had hair dryers and good showers (with hooks and a curtain to keep your stuff from getting wet, and a locked door for privacy) There was the cutest cat roaming around and there's free drinking water downstairs! There's free laundry, a gym and a chill out room with lots of seats. The location was really good with things to do within walking distance, plus the metro is really close. I would stay here again :)

Great hostel, 1 min away from transport and the main street of the city and attractions. Wifi works fine. Very clean. Installations are really good conditions and staff is really good.

Great hostel, was good for meeting knew people, staff are friendly and accommodating for non Chinese speakers too. They gave me recommendations to see fireworks too

Always the go to hostel when in Shanghai. Staff 👍👍👍always very friendly and helpful. Location wise, you can't beat this one. It has the perfect location right in People's Square, with all you're looking for when visiting Shanghai from parks, coffee & food, scenery and malls etc...

I have a very nice stay and am definitely coming back. They provided a disposal towel and dental kit when requested.

The beds are comfortable and well equipped, there’s plenty of room in the common areas and everything is always clean. The free laundry with soap included is a great advantage when you’re travelling with few clothes. Special thanks to the staff, specially Roya who helped me with everything since my check in!
