It was scary to go into the room, it was really small, the charger near the bed didn’t work. So think carefully whether to stay there or maybe to find a hotel or another accommodation. But the location was good.

When we only arrived, the room was very dirty. A woman came to clean it up only 2 hours after we checked in. It made our first impression really negative. By the way, the main advantage of the hostel is its location. Right near the bund, it is convenient for travelers.

The stay at Iforest Youth Hostel was wonderful and memorable. I talked with other guys there at the Study Room and came to know new things regarding China which I never knew before. The services from the reception was especially to be mentioned. Mr. TungTung was verg much helpful and helped me to find Halal Restaurants, Maszid and the Hotel while I lost my way to the Hotel. The East Nanjing Station of Shanghai Subway is very near to the Hostel. One thing I need to mention here that the name is published as One Forest Youth Hostel although the name I saw on the signboard as Iforest Youth Hostel and due to this I got some trouble finding the hostel on the first day at Shanghai. Hope to stay again here if I come to Shanghai, China again.

The hostel is located near the East Nanjing Road, The Bund. You can walk from East Nanjing Road station to the hostel within 10 mins. Perfect for the solo travelers. The staff is super friendly and tried to communicate in English by the Alipay app. Highly recommend!

Our stay was a good start for our journey in Shanghai. The location is good, right in downtown China. The rooms are pretty small and if you don’t put on the ventilator in the bathroom it starts stinking a bit. Besides we had free water in the room and a really cozy blanket. Thank you!

The hostel smells of smoke. It is small and dark. I won’t come again.

Very good service near外灘 Is a good location

Super convenient location but it’s the filthiest place I ever stayed. We arrived at 1.30pm, there was no one in the front desk, 30minutes later the lady appear because someone from the cleaning staff told her we where waiting. The front desk lady was talking on the phone with a friend the whole time she was doing our check in -obviously it took her 45minutes to so it because she was more interested in the conversation than in us Would not recommend this place at all

Great location, the bund is 5min by walking distance. Really easy to visit many touristic places by cycling.

VFS office is across the street which was perfect. Walking distance to most tourist sites. Will stay there again. Lebanese restaurant around the corner was amazing.

Minimal needs satisfied. The receptionist is nice and can speak english. Recommend for solo travellers who dont want to spend too much money on 1 night stay. I transit in Shanghai for 1 night (19hrs), decide to go to the city, walk around the center and stay here. Really near the habour and station. Good!

The location is perfect, ✅ Very accessible and close to the bund. Really nice place to stay and the staff were really friendly. Easy transportation options nearby. Room was so cozy too, so cozy it was very hard for me to wake up and explore 😅

Perfect location close to Nanjing East Road and the Bund. 7-eleven supermarket and manner coffee just outside of the building. Metro in walking distance (Linie 2, which connects you to many highlights in Shanghai). Room very cozy, everything was clean. Staff friendly. If you plan a trip to Shanghai this hostels offers high value for money. The location is perfect to explore the city!

First of all this is the best location possible to stay in Shanghai, and for this price it’s honestly mind blowing. The staff speaks zero English, so don’t be shocked if they use an app to translate. My phone broke and they called someone to fix it in the hostel so I didn’t need to go anywhere. They also organise group games. It’s a great place to be, clean and friendly
