I've stayed several times in the hotel as I think the location is convenient and it's usually comfortable. This time I've booked by mistake the room without window and that wasn't really good. There's actually a window in the bathroom area which brings noise from the street but doesn't feel like it's inside the room, and the room fell cramped

Nice hotel, good price, good breakfast. The only issue was the street car noise.

Awesome hotel with long history in the heart of Shanghai. A real hidden champion.

Beside the very kind guy who checked me in on my arrival (unfortunately I don’t know his name) and the lovely Ayi taking care of the 8th floor, the staff is overall quite not professional and not exactly what I would describe friendly. Pity because the hotel itself has been a surprise, well located, well designed and well maintained. Quality of the decorations are “entry level” I would say but the overall design is anyway well done, comfy and pleasant. Breakfast, Chinese style, is quite poor in terms of quality and options. Good option for its price-point but I would definitely consider some extra training for the staff….and maybe a bit newer soundproofing windows in the rooms.

Come here each time I go to shanghai. Definitely worth the stay! Location location location

Whether it is the geographical location, convenient transportation, the interior layout of the hotel, the comfort of the rooms, and the service attitude of the staff, they are all very good.

We love this hotel. Always stay here when coming to Shanghai. The rooms are great, the location if good and the price is very fair.

Very good hotel , good room but Chinese breakfast

This is one of my favourites in Shanghai due to its location, price and lovely staff. I have stayed over five times and now the staff are beginning to remember me so I’ve picked up the odd upgrade which is also a bonus! The gym is small but with a good use of space to allow for some cardio and a multi-purpose pulley system for free weights. The location is excellent and even though it is next to a main road, I’ve NEVER had a bad nights sleep.

Excellent location, very interesting building which has a simple stylish overall design throughout. We were upgraded to a room facing the internal courtyard, which was nice and quiet. The room was clean, it even has a coffee machine. There are several cafes and restaurants nearby and Jiangsu Road subway station is 10 minutes walk away. There are also lots of buses nearby. Good value for money in a very central location.

It was a nice hotel. I like that a coffee machine was provided. However, it was a little bit noisy, the room needs more soundproofing as it is close to the highway.

We had a great stay. Great clean room, a lobby that you'll want to use and in a very noiseless environment in the middle of Shanghai. One limitation: several of the main gym machines were in bad condition and could not be used (running, ellipticals, etc)
