honestly the best hotel ever (in terms of budget hotel) of course you cannot expect luxury service but you honestly get more than what you pay for. the staff members are SO SO kind, even the cleaner aunt that cleans the rooms, making the whole stay feel very homely. the front desk staff (which i didn't manage to get her name) is super responsive on wechat and will really go the extra mile to help, even when it is late at night. not forgetting the super adorable cat! overall it was a super amazing stay, and i highly recommend to stay here if you are on a budget. i will definitely stay here again when i am back in shanghai! 酒店的员工：谢谢你们！❤️

Best hotel I've stayed in whilst in China! The staff are excellent!! The hotel owners are so friendly and make you feel so welcome! And the cleaner is so sweet and makes sure you have everything you need for your stay. And I have to mention Chairman Miao ofcourse ❤️❤️

The location of this hotel is just perfect. You can easily reach all the interesting and important destinations nearby, French concession is a few minutes walk from here, many shopping malls and restaurants, metro station, vintage stores, coffee shops. Clean rooms, warm service. And the chubby fluffy little boss downstairs as a bonus 🐱.

The location is unique and closer to subway station but the rooms are small

The nearest subway station is a five minute walk away. You have booked a king bed room, and we have included the area of the king bed room in the introduction, as well as attached actual pictures. If you want a larger room, you can book a garden balcony room or a tatami room. We have released the size of the room and the actual photos, hoping that customers can book a room that meets their expectations based on their actual needs. We really hope you enjoy our room.

Unfortunately, the photos do not portray the current condition of this hostel-like hotel. I paid quite a high fee (about $75usd per night) for their "balcony room." But the area had no place to sit, was very dirty, and has lots of standing water, attracting more mosquitoes than usual. Also, although there are "no smoking" signs in several areas, the hallways strongly smell of cigarettes. I will say that the young lady at the front desk allowed me to cancel my prepaid reservation after 2 of a supposed to be 6 night stay.

Regarding the issue of smoking ban you mentioned, we have handled it according to government regulations. Smoking is not allowed in hotels, and you may have misunderstood the smell in the hallway.
