Pros: centrally located hotel, near the bund, very old world charm, beautifully decorated rooms, large and comfy. Breakfast was very good and varied, amazing views of the skyline, staff was friendly and kind.
Cons: there was a sewer smell in the lobby and 8th floor halls, the windows can do with a little cleaning.

Great location! It was a short stroll to the Bund. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The elevators are small so it does take some time to get down to the lobby when it is busy.

Room was clean and ready when I checked in. Reception desk was very quick and polite. Nothing special about the facilities, if you’re looking for a good location and not too expensive, this hotel is a good choice.

Great location, a bit dated, yet still clean and neat. Staffs are helpful, breakfast has a good variety. It does justice for the price it ask for, which is also not really a whole much.

First time stay and I was very surprised at how nice this hotel is. It is beautifully decorated while my room was simply beautiful with great design with ex excellent hygiene.
Upon my arrival, the front desk staff were great and helpful . I would have scored excellent 5 star if not due to the rudeness of the checkout young man who was impolite, impatient not knowing his job while I tried to explain to him my booking arrangements . A shame for such a wonderful hotel and I might not return due to this poor attitude !

My preferred hotel in Shanghai. Service is good. Hotel is very close to the bund and Suzhou river, short walking distance to Nanjing Road. Highly recommend this hotel.
