We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Our flight landed early in Shanghai at 4am and we reached the hotel at 6.20 am. Even though it was not check-in time and we didn't request for early check-in in advance, the receptionist kindly offered us a free upgrade to another room so that we can check in earlier at 10am. The room was spacious and had many amenities. Most importantly, we had a washing machine+dryer in our apartment, so doing the laundry was extremely convenient. It was a little run-down but overall still quite clean. The downside is that there's no breakfast buffet and food options are limited here. There's a shopping centre and metro station nearby but it's still a 10 mins walk.

The customer service ok, the housekeeping also ok, the room looks clean but the Internet connection is very slow

Amazing apartment/hotel! The room is pretty big for Shanghai, including the fact that it's almost city centre and the price is fine. There's a terrace at 8th floor with the great view✨ The staff are good and helpful 👍🏻

Located near all the hustle and bustle but feels like it was quiet enough for the relaxing night. I wouldn’t say the room was huge but it was really nice for two! The view from the window was great too!

It's really not easy to find a good but affordable hotel in shanghai. I booked this for our arrival stay in Shanghai and ended up booking it again for the stay before departing from Shanghai. It is a reasonable choice. Clean enough though the hotel definitely shows worn out signs, but clean. Big enough so that we can put two big suitcases. And the location is like 20 mins walking to the People's square. The walk there crosses a beautiful bridge, so nothing to complain about. Also it is very quiet, which is important for us, as we need to sleep to recover after flights. Good choice for that amount of money.

we arrived in the early hours of the morning around 1am and fortunately, we were able to check-in to our room. as the pictures of our room type show, there is a nice window that was the reason why we decided to book this hotel. some points to note are 1. daily housekeeping 2. heater in the toilet 3. no safe only con is that there are not many food choices at night.

This is my second time staying at the base. Great location, close to metro stations. Heaps of amenities and always clean. Definitely would stay again

Hotel location was great as you can see the suhe river right from the bed room and if you enjoy jogging you can also jog along the river all the way to the bund which is just under 3km in distance. Ordering food to the room was also very easy via *******, it was delivered in a mini robot which was super cool.

Good location, got upgraded. Great gym

My parents had lovely stay at Base Suhe Serviced Apartment. One bedroom apartments are specious and with outstanding view for the Bundt. 

This place stinks. Literally. Everywhere had quite unique terrible smells. Perfect place for that if you are into that kind of thing. Cleaning lady was an angel. Never going back.
