Please do go by name… it’s Novotel Atlantis just for name but the hotel is not maintained … my air condition didn’t work .. I was sweating and then had to open the room window… they had no sham saying that AC is not working…

Enjoyed our stay. Although room did get quite warm overnight as aircon didn't work well.
Buffet breakfast was well worth it on the 50th floor.
Shower was great pressure and very hot. Free bottled water supplied daily was a great addition. View from 34th floor was great.

Overall the hotel is a bit old (built in 2000) which you note on several occasions. The staff is friendly and tries to circumvent the conditions. Swimming pool was nice, also the breakfast in the 50th floor was pretty cool. They had some western breakfast options, but of course mostly Chinese food, which had a good quality.
The location is still good, not too far from the metro. Next to the hotel there is an Aldi supermarket, Subway and a place where you can grab some coffee.
For us the room (family suite) was bad. It had a slight smell of cold cigarette smoke. The power outlets didn't work with European plugs (which didn't happen in other hotels in China), so they offered an adapter. The ventilation wasn't good and there was no working air conditioning in the room. We told them and the answer was that it is simply like that. You couldn't open the windows, probably due to the height (31st floor).
We stayed on Novotel before and for us this specific hotel couldn't keep up with the expectations we put into the brand. Overall it was rather disappointing. We would not recommend this hotel to our friends.

Family room was big and clean. Sofa bed was hard and squeaky. Metro station in 10 min walking distance with good connections (line 14 is missing in Google maps). Breakfast buffet has a lot of variety including warm Chinese dishes, but was pretty crowded at the time we visited.

The room (especially the washroom) needs to be refurbished. The water pressure for the shower is not enough. But the view of the hotel is nice.

When we first arrived, it seemed as if the person helping us was having a bad evening, Anna, and she was taking it out on all of the people checking in including us. She was very impatient. That was our first impression.
The hotel is over 20 years old so of course you can’t expect it to be something spectacular, but it’s very ordinary. Probably great for conferences and business trips, but it’s old, a little outdated, and the room is dirty… sheets are old, air con wreaks of mildew, and the corners of the room have piled up dirt in them. Some rooms have nice views, ours was ok nothing great.
The room was on a higher floor so that was a plus. The breakfast is pretty good, traditional international breakfast, with many western and Asian dishes. The hotel pool was filthy, stuff floating inside of it that I couldn’t even begin to explain.
Just know what you are paying for when you go.

Beautiful views of the city. Spacious room but did smell a bit of smoke. Due to the typhoon, we were stuck in the hotel room. The English TV channels were very limited.

For the price, it will be challenging to get a better value hotel with breathtaking Pudong skyline, riverside view, 5 star quality interior and amazing auto washing and cleaning wc unit! It's only let down by busy check in queue and lifts and poor service by the waiter on the rotatory restaurant. It's called self service. So don't expect too much. Nevertheless, i will love to come back again.
