Orange Hotel (Shanghai Bund Waibaidu Bridge) anmeldelser

I stayed at some orange hotels before Covid, and they were great. This one in Shanghai is getting really old. A traveler told me all the upper rooms are getting remodeled , but 8F was in shambles and desperately in need of reno. I was moved from a large room that was disgusting (see picture) into a smaller room that had equally nasty shower. This chain used to be great, but maybe check the newer reviews before booking a room. The location was great for me as there were multiple Manner Coffees nearby.

Terrible quality. The room was at least clean but the common areas are awful, extremely dirty. The furniture is old and extremely used, with stains. The breakfast is 48 yuan per person and the quality is at the level of a bad worker’s canteen. This hotel is just greatly located for visiting the bund, this is all. The staff are kind and helpful, thanks god for this. Definitely for the price, not cheap at all, you can find a way better options just a little farther.

Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in while in China. The staff members were great!

Does the job but a bit pricey for the room condition. Some renovation would be required. The window didn’t close properly given it was Shanghai winter.

Purple sofa had unidentifiable stains all over, so you couldn't sit and feel clean. Shabby, dusty, dirty. Vomit stains on the wall outside bathroom. Broken chandelier....come on people. I paid a lot of money for that!

Excellent location for visiting the Bund and East Nanjing road. Cleanliness was satisfactory. Staff was very polite and assistive.

We only liked this hotel because of location. On the first night we have found some cockroaches and decided to go to the lobby and change the room. The manager was nice and upgraded us to the bund view room on 21st floor. This room was not even available on the hotel page so it was a good surprises The location is great! 10 min walk to the bund, but subway stations are a little bit far. The service is not that great, they don’t speak English at all. The cleaning will disturb you even if you have specified that you want some privacy. The building itself is old and look sketchy.

Location is very good. 900m walk to the subway. Rooms are a little run down, but ok. Breakfast in China in general is nothing to rave about, and this hotel is no exception. Bed was very firm. Laundry service a bit expensive, would have been better if self service was an option. Overall 3.5 out of 5.

The location was the best thing about this hotel. It was very close to the bund. However the hotel staff were very unwelcoming and impolite. I observed that they treated us foreigners differently. The room is very small and it was a bit dirty with bits and pieces on the floor.

Room have a bit smell and the window not clear

The hotel was nice. The air-conditioning wasn't too great.

Good location, however, services are subpar. First, the door card did not work, then on the last day, 20 minutes before the checking out deadline, the card was disabled. I have to ask the front desk to open the door. what a waste of time and nonsense.
