The hotel room had a very good view and a large tub. Breakfast was good with champagne served. More importantly, the service by Jennie, Deslin and Flora was warm and friendly and made the stay a pleasant one.

Had a fantastic stay in Shanghai! The hotel’s ambiance and amenities were top-notch, making it a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish. A special shoutout to the VIP ambassador, Charlotte—her exceptional service and attention to detail made my visit even more memorable. She went above and beyond to ensure every need was met, adding a personal touch that made me feel valued as a guest. Stayed two nights in the king retreat room after one night in the moon pool room. Felt like this room is better as it seems more spacious, there’s a double vanity and nice view

I enjoyed the trip comfortably with Deslin's kind response. As I saw in other reviews, the facility was old, and the smell of the room with the bathtub was not refreshing. The room was amazing with a stunning view. On the whole it was a fantastic stay but there were one or two issues- 1. The yoga mats in the gym were filthy. And 2. I was bothered on a few occasions by cleaners or people coming to knock on the door e.g.the cleaner came inside the room even though I said it was too late and I didn't want the room to be cleaned now. It was around 5pm and no one had cleaned the room during the day, but by that time I was ready to relax. There was a language barrier so she just came in and started replacing snacks and drinks and tried to start cleaning up in the bathroom and I had to ask her to leave. I noticed before I left that there was a button for 'do not disturb' but it wasn't obvious so it would be good for the staff to mention that when showing you to your room. I also think it's a good idea for them to have a book with information regarding the restaurant, gym, spa etc.etc. there's some info on the TV but it isn't very detailed.

I went to this hotel with my friends. I know this hotel is very famous, but when I checked in, I went to my room and the door was broken. But they didn't care about it. So we were angry. After a while, they told us that they would change rooms.

The hotel manager quick responsive about extra bed. The extra bed feel only spring doesnt have mattras. Room is nice with beautiful view over pudong area. Location quite hard looking for food.

Nice stay overall. Great thanks to Alisa, Benson and Vicky. They were quite helpful and warm-hearted during my whole stay with my husband. I would say this hotel is definitely a good fit for those who love classic.

Room is extremely clean and nice. Paid extra to upgrade the room that can view Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Aircon faulty. Changed room twice but aircon still not working properly. Gave up. Staff is very helpful and professional, but need to get the facilities up to par.

This hotel is very unique and beautiful. Located in such an amazing location. We had an amazing stay in our room. The view from our room was gorgeous. This room had everything we needed and staff were very welcoming and kind. They prepared a little welcome surprise for us which was so lovely. What an amazing experience! Highly recommend.

Very nice view . Good breakfast ( although bakery and juices should be improved). Dirty carpet in the room. Dirty side of the bed . Furniture showing the sign of bad materials and bad maintenance . Shower not separating water from wall and ceiling because of broken faucet. At 7 pm on Friday night the TOPS terrace was close because of the rain and the Lounge bar was closed because of ? Laziness? And the terrace in any case is closed until 2.30 pm. On summary expensive and pretentious hotel badly managed. The view only cannot justify the high price . 景色很美。丰盛的早餐(尽管面包房和果汁还需要改进)。 房间里有脏地毯。床上肮脏的一面。 家具出现材料不良和维护不善的迹象。 淋浴由于水龙头坏了，没有把水从墙上和天花板上隔开。 周五晚上7点，顶层露台因为下雨而关闭，酒廊酒吧因为什么原因而关闭？懒惰？无论如何，露台一直关闭到下午2：30。 总而言之，昂贵而自命不凡的酒店管理不善。 这种观点只是不能证明高昂的价格是合理的。

Magnificent experience ever! The view was so extremely. Peace of mind. I definitely stay in Banyan tree next time.
