InterContinental Shanghai Jing'an anmeldelser

One of the highlights of my trip to Shanghai was the staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Jingan. Very impressed w the interior decoration, a harmonious fusion of Western and Eastern cultures, invoking a sense of nostalgia of the old Shanghai. All services in the hotel, from the rooms to the lobby, are very professional with attentions to details. We particularly appreciated the staff members at the Registration desk, especially Jasmine and Bobo whose hospitalities were superb, making us feel instantly at home. The food here set a high bar for luxurious dining, surpassing many other five-star hotels. We were lucky to sign up to the complimentary High Tea which offered a colorful selection of pastries and delicious finger food. The legendary breakfast buffet has never disappointed us, including a wide variety of Western and Chinese food, such as traditional Shanghai snacks, wantons and noodles. We had such a great time in this hotel and are looking forward to coming back to it in the near future!

Got upgraded to upper floor, and extended to late checkout! The staffs were so aware to offer help to every single of customers!

Positives: The facilities are good. For example, the swimming pool, sauna and gym were very enjoyable. Negatives: The breakfast was very poor with limited choice, low quality food and a small dining area in relation to how many people there were. The check-out experience was also poor as it took 25 minutes due to their being only one member of staff. Moreover, as my girlfriend was waiting for me in a seating area, she was asked to move by hotel staff as she was told, that this was in fact a restaurant. However other guests were sitting in same area (waiting to check-out) and they were not asked to move. We felt that this was a strange way to treat guests at the hotel.

The service is good. I like the hotel. This is a nice hotel.

Bathrobe cleaniness

The location of the hotel is great. Almost opposite of the train station. Furthermore it is very nearby the Jade Buddha Temple and the new thousand trees shopping mall. The rooms are big and with a great shower. One downside was the smell coming from the shower, but this is a minor thing. The facilities of the hotel are top. Having a 25 meters swimming pool, a sauna, steam room, hot-tub and a great gym. I really recommend booking this hotel.

This is a really good hotel but will admit there needs to be some minor upgrades to the rooms if people are paying much to stay for the night.

I had a fantastic time at this hotel, and Jane truly made the difference. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor were remarkable, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay from start to finish. She went above and beyond to cater to our needs, making us feel welcomed and valued. It's rare to find such a dedicated staff member who genuinely enhances the guest experience.

Gym and pool were decent. hotel located north of jingan, kinda far from the main bars and restaurants. the breakfast was decent.

Upgraded hotel room with spacious and comfortable mattress, nice hotel!!

Overall is full mark! As we can reach anywhere by didi, so it’s very convenient and the neighbor area is quiet due to the office area.

While the hotel itself and its location are pleasant, I find the service standards lacking in comparison to a 5-star hotel under the Intercontinental Group. For instance, despite purchasing their buffet breakfast separately since it was not included in my room rate, the experience was disappointing. Upon entering the restaurant in the morning, we had to find our own seats as they were not arranging for us. To add to the inconvenience, upon returning to our seats with food, we discovered they were taken. This lack of organization was frustrating. Additionally, when I requested decaffeinated coffee, one staff member appeared unaware of its availability, stating they didn't have it until I escalated the issue to a more senior staff member who confirmed they did offer it. These instances do not align with the expected standards of an internationally renowned brand, particularly one as esteemed as the Intercontinental Group.

The hotel stay was delightful, with exceptional service from Jane at the front desk. Her warm and attentive assistance made our experience truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Awesome hotel! I visited here for my birthday. It was a lovely. The reception Lyren who check for me in was professional with helpful and English speaking desk clerks. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. The room was spacious with a great view of the city, truly a 5 diamond experience.
