very nice hotel, very clean and spacious rooms, close to the bund and great brunch on a Sunday

celebrated the New Year. The hotel is very beautiful with history. The staff is friendly, high level of service.

Location is great. Staff were kind and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Hotel was clean and sheets were extremely comfortable. Room air conditioner was cold and working well (unlike other hotels in china with controlled temperatures) which I really appreciated. Room cleaning service is great! View of the bund is wonderful, though I was only able to see the Oriental Pearl Tower as the rest of the major towers are blocked by the building right infront of the window. Privacy might be an issue as people in the opposite buildings could look right into my room and bathroom, especially at night with my room lights on. I could also clearly see whatever was going on in the opposite buildings if their curtains were not closed. That is a pity considering the large windows the hotel room had to offer, as the view is mostly blocked by buildings right infront. Though you can walk to Nanjing Road, cycling is more convenient and if thats not what you want to do, the walk may be a little far if you want to go there often. You can also walk to The Bund. Nearest metro station is Yuyuan Garden which is about a 15-20min stroll away. Overall a really good stay despite the privacy issue, if you dont mind that then this is a good choice if you would like to be further away from the hustle and bustle.

Fine hotel but for a 5star hotel to have problems with the cable channels for the tv in the rooms has left me bewildered

This is my second time staying at the Westin on Christmas Eve. The facilities are so comfortable, staff are incredibly friendly, and location is amazing. Highly recommend a stay here. 

Great stay, however was charged a fortune for room service breakfast even though breakfast was included in the room and we were not informed room service would be extra.

book the room with the pearl tower view, it was superb view. location of hotel is very good. walking distance to many attractions. facilities are slightly dated but bed is really comfortable.
