Small but nice apartment close to the metro station of line 8. Can recommend for short term solo traveling for sightseeing in Shanghai The washing machine works perfectly and is clean, what makes this offer unbeaten in terms of the price. Only the mattress feels more like a wooden board than a bed, but for the price, that’s pretty fine :).

The pictures they have are outdated, it doesn’t match the actual conditions (I took some pictures). The room was really small, the bed is really hard (we even asked for extra blanket to put on top of the mattress) we weren’t able to have a good night of sleep, it was really dirty. Not only the room but the whole building is screaming for maintenance (the elevator, etc) and the cigarette smell on the corridors and the reception area was awful.

The location is convenient, within walking distance (about 15 minutes) to several metro and bus stations, and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. It's around a 30-minute ride to popular spots like The Bund or Yu Garden— also quick by bike. However, our experience with the room was disappointing. Despite specifically requesting not to be placed in a corner room, we were given one, which may have been a misunderstanding. The room itself was not clean, and we experienced a ceiling leak during the night. The toilet area made loud, unpleasant noises, and unfortunately, our window faced a dumpster. At one point, the elevator was also out of service. The front desk staff were generally kind and responsive, especially a young lady who was particularly attentive and helpful. Tip: Be sure to clearly communicate your room preferences and check the room upon arrival to make sure it meets your expectations.

The bed was small for two people, and moving around the room was difficult due to the limited space. The bathroom was old and did not feel clean or well maintained. Overall, the structure appears outdated and in need of renovation. The price is low, but considering the condition of the room, it still felt a bit high. The location could potentially be convenient, but the nearest metro station is not very close and the surrounding area is rather run-down, with few services nearby. I usually adapt easily when traveling, but this stay was disappointing. I would not choose this place again.
